Here, moss and lichens are spread about under foot in the most regal of carpets, and they adorn the lithos like arcane tapestries that tell of a history impossible to fathom in simple thought. They share the ancient landscape with gardens of delicate flowers: lilium superbum, golden rods, trillium, wild ginger, daisies, and violets, an array of primary color in perfect romance with the neutral.
