Kusk Bushcraft

Kusk Bushcraft

I got my first pocket knife when I was five years old and since then my passions in life have always revolved around the outdoors.

My focus is not on having the latest and greatest gear. Most of the gear I use I have had for many years and I try to pack as little gear as possible. Bushcraft is about using what nature provides to live comfortably in the wilderness. A lot of the essentials and comfort items can be crafted from natural materials using the right tools and knowledge.

Forget the overloaded packs, expensive camping gear, and the never ending production of useless outdoor "essentials". Join me on my wilderness adventures where the frills are left behind and the outdoors are simply enjoyed.

I do not do gear reviews. I do not do product sponsorships. I am not an expert. Some activities I do can be dangerous. Replicating what you see me do could lead to dangerous situations that could put your health and safety at risk. Viewers be warned.

A foam pool noodle and some tape would make those thin straps waaay more comfortable. Of course heavy clothing helps alot.

I remember not having anywhere to live when I was 17, a wise old man told me to follow cats because they always found somewhere warm to sleep. It worked most of the time until they found small spaces..

I agree with this wholeheartedly! I never understood the folks who act like it's absolutely mandatory for a knife to strike a ferro rod, to me its an unfinished knife. I've NEVER carried a ferro rod without a striker. Ever. The fire steel shouldn't be your primary method of starting a fire anyway. We have lighters and matches now. Awesome video sir! ✌️

Try doing that with no food, no light no fire, no knife in wet shorts, a t-shirt and walking 10 miles in wet rock climbing shoes with no socks! Did I mention the wind and a rappel down a 1000' cliff in complete darkness!!!??? That is Yosemite for ya. Yeah, that happened to me...a series of dumb maneuvers.
