I got my first pocket knife when I was five years old and since then my passions in life have always revolved around the outdoors.
My focus is not on having the latest and greatest gear. Most of the gear I use I have had for many years and I try to pack as little gear as possible. Bushcraft is about using what nature provides to live comfortably in the wilderness. A lot of the essentials and comfort items can be crafted from natural materials using the right tools and knowledge.
Forget the overloaded packs, expensive camping gear, and the never ending production of useless outdoor "essentials". Join me on my wilderness adventures where the frills are left behind and the outdoors are simply enjoyed.
I do not do gear reviews. I do not do product sponsorships. I am not an expert. Some activities I do can be dangerous. Replicating what you see me do could lead to dangerous situations that could put your health and safety at risk. Viewers be warned.

Experience and the balls to do it! Just trying to learn some survival lessons here. 3 minutes in, and my feet are already frozen! Stay safe Brother!
A foam pool noodle and some tape would make those thin straps waaay more comfortable. Of course heavy clothing helps alot.
That is no -25.
ok like the idea. but how do you clean them? must get sweaty and start to smell. ta
My feelings also. Jimping sucks as well. Nice, calm, and focused presentation.
Great looking breakfast!🍳 👍

what if a spark of fire were to set fire to the log shelter that your sleeping in, while your asleep?
I can’t imagine this kind of cold
True I love watching the survival shelters you always learn new stuff and I think k it's so important.
And also may I say, your beard is epic, I’m filled with beard envy.
You always make great content! Keep it up!
As a Texan, NO.
I remember not having anywhere to live when I was 17, a wise old man told me to follow cats because they always found somewhere warm to sleep. It worked most of the time until they found small spaces..
Uhmmmmm ? 😲 I just noticedthat this is a downed tree trunk🤔cool.
I played softball all throughout grade school. Softball GIRLSCOUTS AND FAMILY CAMPING as well as YMCA CAMPING TRIPS...STILL HIT BALLS and played catch w/ my boys... I THINK 🤔 I SHOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE AND AXE!!! WHAT DO YOU THINK ???
Was this the same way you've made tarp? Really would love to see how you made you're own tarp. Amazing content.
.
I agree with this wholeheartedly! I never understood the folks who act like it's absolutely mandatory for a knife to strike a ferro rod, to me its an unfinished knife. I've NEVER carried a ferro rod without a striker. Ever. The fire steel shouldn't be your primary method of starting a fire anyway. We have lighters and matches now. Awesome video sir! ✌️
I really REALLY like the simplicity of your work. I also like the no nonsense-no babble-straight into it delivery!
I guess my hands are not soft enough to feel any difference on this point
Just subbed to your channel. Love the barebones, no music approach!

Can't see how he wasn't cold with the breeze blowing the fire away from him and his distance from it. Unless he had a very good sleeping bag.
Awesome shelter build. Great video. Thanks for sharing
Came here after the news. RIP Kusk. Your outdoor videos were the best
RIP?? What?
Try doing that with no food, no light no fire, no knife in wet shorts, a t-shirt and walking 10 miles in wet rock climbing shoes with no socks! Did I mention the wind and a rappel down a 1000' cliff in complete darkness!!!??? That is Yosemite for ya. Yeah, that happened to me...a series of dumb maneuvers.
