    I'm a nursing student and a senior citizen, 59 yrs. DNR is a topic most appropriately considered in the context of the overall condition of the patient. I would leave out the age qualifiers because in your 30s you don't really know what it feels like to be in your 50s and older. A 20 something usually thinks a 50 something is pretty old. But this 50 something thinks 80 something is really old, so it is really relative. Back to the concept of overall condition- I personally am in reasonably ok health. However, if I were very much in decline (highly subjective) had a chronic debilitating condition (cancer, CKD, Alzheimer's) and then experienced a stroke or heart attack, and was in 'recovery' from compounding, cascading, decompensating problems, I would opt for AND. Let me go. But this is more and more a call people will make in their 80s and 90s now, believe it or not, rather than in their 70s.

    I got the BAD pop-up. The exam stopped at exactly 85. I was miserable for days until I checked my name on the roster. I PASSED!!! It would be insane if you bum NCLEX after being a dean's lister and getting the highest awards in school.

    Use a credit card that has funds if you try it will card that isn’t working you will get a bad pop up. If you put in a card that has funds and all the correct info you will get an accurate result.

    I had an IV in the top of my hand for about 24 hours while in the hospital and then about two weeks later I noticed a nodule about 3/4 inch down for the IV injection site. It's 3/4mm by 1/2mm and has now been there now for almost 6 weeks. Any idea what this could be?

  • @Nursejanx
    @Nursejanx6 ай бұрын

    That’s a short timeline if you haven’t been using anything yet. I wouldn’t suggest studying for any program less than 30 days min to be effective, but if you need something at least the Q-Bank would help

    I took my NCLEX today was very nervous after coming back from test. I have received 3 case studies and lots of Nex gen questions and got lengthy, paragraphed data questions almost 30-45 questions with lots of data to read and I personally find it so annoying. From starting till 40 questions exam seems harder as exam progressed, between 65-90 questions were horrible and and out of my reach and have never seen that topics during my studies. to be honest I literally tried to brainstorm and co-related every data with best possible option but ended up to an random and guessed answers choice 😭. Exam shuts off at 123questions. Felling very depressed and overwhelmed. Did PVT got good popup. Waiting for results🙂😖 and hope for best😫

    I did night shift for 3 years in Med-Surg and then the MICU. I gained a significant amount of weight, ruined my mood, and it caused me a few health problems. All at the age of 28. Its been 2 years and I've reversed about 85% of the issues I developed. To all my nurses, try to forgo it entirely. If not, give it a 3-5 month trial run. If your body can genetically handle it, good. If not, go back to that part time job you had, suffer financially a little bit longer, to get a regular shift position. It is not worth it. Trust me.
