    I bought a new one 6 mo. ago and I love it. Modifying this bike is a waste of time and money. If you want a fast dirt or street bike buy something else. I`ve been riding over 50 yrs. and if you want to putt around like the `70`s this is what you want. imo

  • @613Builds
    @613Builds4 күн бұрын

    @@barackmycat9448 well, the 222 cc big bore kit helped the torque tremendously. That was a major improvement noticeable in first gear, taking off all the way up to fifth gear. When it was stock original, it would hardly carry itself in fifth gear anywhere below 75 km/h, but now with the kit it can carry itself from 60 km/h even in fifth gear effortlessly with lower RPMs. I also added a windshield, and that was a major improvement as well.

    What was the cost of that kit? Buy a bigger bike with more suspension.

  • @613Builds
    @613Builds4 күн бұрын

    @@robfninh it was around $250 Canadian for the big bore kit. Much cheaper than buying a bigger motorcycle of this year. I’ve put it around 2000 km on it so far I mostly use it on the street or for commute so bigger suspension is not totally necessary. My main priority has been budget since I bought my first house last fall.

  • @613Builds
    @613Builds27 күн бұрын

    It’s supposed to get like 100 mpg but I don’t think I’m getting that much when at close to highway speed almost wide open. My commute is better than 50 kms each way . I feel like it’s closer to 50-75 MPGs. It’s cost me about 14 or 15 Canadian dollars to fill the tank with high octane around $1.80 per liter for the good stuff. Tank lasts me about 2 days to work and back. It takes me 45-55 mins each way to get to work. It will reach 105 or 110 kph downhill , about 95-100 on flat, and drops to about 90-95 kph uphill. I’ve got a cool upgrade I’ve already installed a 70mm big bore kit for 222 cc displacement. I’ll have a video later

    Seems to me you're best off spending more and getting real Mikuni so you can actually use Mikuni jets to change out, which I am sure anyone will need to do to tune it properly. Good luck finding jets to fit it. You are best off to get a rebuild the original with new gaskets and orings, then properly adjust the float leve to stop the overflow issue.

    Well, I made this video well over a decade ago before the KZread shorts came out back then people used to have a better attention span but it’s OK if you don’t have the attention span you can still do it with half the amount of blocks. I could explain an up-to-date video, and I could explain it much shorter, but I’m not here to cater to the people with short attention spans. There is a fast-forward option if you want but I understand this is an older video and shorter videos. Do better nowadays I guess.

    Does the clevis and cotter pin have anything to do with it?

  • @613Builds
    @613BuildsАй бұрын

    Sounds like the emergency release . A red rope that hangs down. It’s an intricate device, you need to align the plastic trolly with the bullet style latch at the end of the chain. The road has to be pulled on an angle to get it to release, and then it has to be pulled on a different angle towards the drive motor to get it to latch back up in again. It’s not very intuitive, but if you pull the rope, it might come unlatched so the chain would move, but the door wouldn’t if it had come unlatched. This is like an emergency device when the power goes out or if you want to lift the door manually for any reason

    Ya it’s street legal so it comes with semi street tires. The suspension is smaller than the CRF150. I think it’s setup less for the dirt and more for the street. Other reviews have pointed out how lame the suspension is. Insurance is dirt cheap and it’s supposed to get 100 MPGs

  • @613Builds
    @613Builds2 ай бұрын

    Front or rear? Which side? if it’s the front tourism bars, you might have to jack the front end up and see if it settles, or adjust the torsion on each side individually. if it’s the rear, you might want to check your leaf springs, make sure none of them are cracked sometimes they crack near the centre pin. Check your shocks and check your rear shackles and shackle hangers. Those are common problem on those trucks.

    that’s a great idea however if I go with the strong made front winch bumper it won’t be needed

  • @613Builds
    @613BuildsАй бұрын

    A “Strong made” winch bumper sounds amazing , sounds like you’re getting a stronger bumper but it just clamps to the factory bumper. It will hold a winch I guess but you’re still gonna be pulling on the Factory bumper because the strong winch bumper is just an attachment that clamps to the Factory bumper. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the Factory bumper clearly, I just personally didn’t want to add the bulky weight to the front. I do hear good things about them From those who have the strong made parts. There is one benefit to some of the aftermarket stuff which is something I have on my Pioneer 520 side-by-side, which is the high mount set up for winch mounts. Are used an aftermarket style Highmount on my pioneer 520 because it puts the wind up higher, which is better for anybody who’s worried about going through the water or the mud. I guess it really depends on what you do with your machine and where you want to mount your winch.
