Hmmm at the start of the video you mentioned the guppies were able to slip between the divider. This was also mentioned a few times in the Amazon reviews. Did this issue happen with the bettas too? At the price of these dividers on Amazon seems like they should fit tighter? Any updates on your experience with these.

How often and how much should I feed a betta fish? Also which pallets can be used as the main « food »? I’m a complete beginner and would like to learn more about bettas 😁

I have the Marineland tank. What is the purpose of the blue light vs the regular light? I’ve just usually always turned it all the way off at night for my betta, but should I just leave it on blue? Is that better for plants? What's with the blue light???

I got a 10 gallon for my betta who was in a 5 gallon. It's one with an LED bubble wall, and this guy wedged himself between the air tube and power cord for that wall. I thought he was stuck, but he wiggle out. Regardless, I still filled that gap with gravel, so he wouldn't get stuck.

Do you still use the trick with the filter sponge so you don’t disturb sand or substrate like in a very old video you posted before? If so How would you do that with the python one?

Kind of a bizzarro world that processed fish food is MORE nutritious than "natural" food. I wish chicken nuggets were as nutritious as a baked chicken lmao

I have two Bettas in my 6 gallon tank with three little colorful male guppies! And a small aquatic frog! Tried separating my Bettas, but they kept jumping the fence and joining in the same half of the tank. Both appear to be males, one red and one blue!! Hmmm??? Frog and Red Betta didn't get along at first, now they keep their own distance. Everything done wrong but it works great! I have a photo but I don't see a way to load it!!

Why is there a bunch of air bubbles in my betta fish tank and is that bad? I have a filter in the tank. Also, my beta tank came with a built in LED light underneath the tank lid. How long should I leave the LED light on for?

Basically leaving 2 innches water level as well enough if we dont have lid. Betta cant jump that height

I'm thinking of getting a betta fish. 10 gallons, natural plant setup that is able to pretty much maintain itself without too much from me, a few types of community fish that won't bother each other, including couple fish that'll naturally help keep things clean alongside the plants, and heating and cooling devices with a thermometer to help regulate the temp up or down as needed. I work as a truck driver and I will be busy a lot. I'm about to start work with a new company that'll get me home pretty much everyday with only occasionally being out overnight once in a while. Unfortunately, this company does not allow pets in their trucks so dog or cat probably won't be the best idea. Who's going to feed them if I don't make it home at a reasonable time? I don't want to have to rely on my neighbor to partially take care of my own pet. I could use an automatic feeder but most of those only do dry kibble. And if I get another dog or cat, I want to put them on a more natural diet this time. A raw diet. There are automatic feeders that do wet food but those use ice packs instead of electric refrigeration and ice packs can only last so long before its recommended to change them which I might not always be around in time for when working a lot. So I figured, if I want something relatively low cost to care for, doesn’t require much attention or to be taken out, that can miss an occasional meal without it being an issue, why not some fish. As long as they are well fed they can miss a day or two of eating if I'm very busy working, right? Just a heads up, my work schedule won't always be consistent, so the fishes feeding time won't always be consistent or same time either. It'll probably be fairly sporadic. The initial setup might cost a bit, but after that the cost shouldn't be that bad. And I won't need to run my house ac all the time to keep them cool enough at home like I would with a dog or cat. What does everyone think? Good idea, or no?

Being a woodworker. . . I usually only recommend pre-stain conditioner if you absolutely want a more even coat or look for softer woods. ie Pine or Poplar. Just because pre-stain conditioner does tend to really cause the wood not to take stain as well/get as dark or rich of a color. The pre-stain wasn't necessary to use on the butcher block because - if I recall correctly - butcher block tends to be made of Birch which is a hardwood. I hope this information can help in future projects you might have and help save you the cost of materials you might not need. Such as pre-stain or having to do 3-4 coats of stain. <3

Wow, your take on the top 10 mistakes beta fish keepers make really made me think, especially your point about not buying a beta fish and tank at the same time. It’s refreshing to see someone dive so deeply into these topics and share such practical advice. By the way, where’s the best place to reach out if I have any questions? I also have an idea on how to improve more of your content and I'd love to offer it for FREE!
