Thank you!!
My face so many times while watching this 😮😮😮😮😮 omg ! I have followed your other modifications for this tank in your other video and it worked out but now I want to buy another tank and do this 😂 thank you so much for this video !
Thank you for this! I’ve had the 3 gallon version of this tank set up for quite a while now, but maintenance on it is a nightmare. I’ve been planning for months now to terret down and take out that back partition, but it’s pretty heavily planted and I kept feeling intimidated by it. I recently got a used 5 gallon one just for the motor to replace the motor in the 3 gallon that died. And I figured I would use that as a trial run tearing out the partition. Your video made it so much easier than I thought it would be! Just finished it up, all I have left to do is to clean it really well since it was kind of gross when I got it. And now I feel a lot better about a project in the near future of my existing 3 gallon one, doing the same thing and then putting it back together again.
Such great ideas! Thank you
One of the best channels out there. 👍🏼👍🏼 please keep on making videos!

Also is there a good, low maintenance floor plant that you would recommend. I've been wanting to get one that looks nice and doesn't need much work done.

@@mattyice4785 anubias, java fern, amazon swords! low maintenance but make sure the light isnt too strong
Nice! Looks great! Might just do this when I switch my betta out soon.

oh I found this video now, wow. love this channel.
If you do need a small heater, can you recommend one? Thanks so much for showing the details of removing the back panel!
Great stuff, had to sub!

I'd love to see a video of your rack setup for all your tanks~
I wonder if you couldn’t have just stuck the sponge filter behind that plastic fake wall? Thinking of setting up one of these for Shrimp as well… Great video!
Ahh I see you did do that mod! Amazing, did the exact same thing and am breeding some cherries in their! Very low maintenance for a college student. Amazing video

agreed! and it's so interesting watching shrimp graze
This tank is so clean looking without that pain of a filtration panel in the back
Hey Harry did you end up adding shrimp? Would love to see how it looks today!
what color neocaradinas should I get???

Amazing guide for modifying the marineland.. the back panel was actually the 1 thing keeping me from considering this tank since it takes away from the total footprint.

Do you think I can install a mesh screen behind the filter? I want to throw in cherry and other tiny shrimp but fear that filter will suck them up. Thanks!

That or even filter floss could work
Did you use scissors to cut the hard plastic part of the lid backstrip? I’m hesitant to cut that hard plastic piece as I’m worried it will just crack on me.
@Pharmaquatics
3 жыл бұрын
yep i used scissors in the vid! wouldnt worry too much assuming you buy the backstrip since you’ll have a lot of extra to test it out. if you want to be very careful, an ez blade might be best
The link to the sponge filter in the description is different than the sponge filter you showed in your video. Do you still recommend the hygger?
@Pharmaquatics

Hygger is still running strong this tank - the suction cup kinda sucks though
Yooo can you make a video of how to make a cool looking Betty fish tank and the best things to buy for it!!

Can you attach a sponge to that grate? Like McGuyver it
@Pharmaquatics

definitely possible
If you use a heat gun, keep it moving. Making sure not to overheat any areas. I would suggest leak testing the tank after. That much heat will loosen the silicon.
@Pharmaquatics

pretty sure i kept it moving in the vid 🤔

Depends on the betta! some are very chill while some are serial killers
If I don’t want to take the back panel out, how can I make it safer for shrimpies?
@Pharmaquatics

wedge a sponge behind the grate on the panel though that will increase maintenance cadence
