@@Pharmaquatics It was, thank you! I saw some comment on another youtubers set up saying that tanks will crack if they’re not on a flat surface. I couldn’t tell which exact shelf/surface the comment was referring to, but it looked like that youtuber also had some form of stacked shelving. I currently have a 5.5 gallon on a smaller wire shelf and got scared for a moment thinking my tank was going to crack lol.

Sorry you lost your fish. But I'm glad you decided to talk about it because these are important informations especially to us who have little to no experience yet. KGTropicals had a good tip to prevent over feeding when you have to rely the feeding on someone who doesn't know fish. They said to put little pouches with the right amount of food next to the tank and label them to the day when each pouch needs to be given.

sorry about the loss but appreciating that you share this with us!🙌 Even though I have some experience in keeping larger tanks (I used to have discus fish, tetras, black ghost knifefish and others) last year I decided to 'return' to the hobby with a betta and currently I am trying to upgrade with a new tank as well as some aquascaping with plants and all, so I find your channel very useful and interesting unlike most of the other 20-minute long videos in KZread that basically say nothing lol. You should definitely keep going and I am rly looking forward to see some new betta fellows in the channel :)) (btw I think this is the first ever comment I write in KZread lol)

Thanks for sharing your experience. I to lost my betta yesterday (7months) of caring. As a newbie I realized after seeing your video that I was overfeeding her. She blew up wobbled remained in the corner of the glass tank or top of leaves, rarely went to the bottom. By the time I realized what I had done after recently purchasing a different food,,, well painful as it is I gathered everything a purchased at Amazon to discard and never again own a fish. But here I am seeing this video and now not feel to bad ... sorry to know your white betta gone. Encourage me to give it another try and getting it right for the sake of "Jinx" my betta. Again thanks for sharing the experience you had then. LC✌

sorry for your loss :(( one of my bettas died the other day because it jumped out some time in the night and it was too late by the time i woke up. i adopted the betta from a friend which made me feel worse. definitely should have kept a lid on them, but you live and you learn esp in fishkeeping. keep up the good work! im a fan of both your informational videos and this casual style :) (hello from the philippines!!)

Thank you for your transparency. I recently have lost 2 of my favorite bettas and feel devastated by the losses as I try my best to do right by them it especially hurts knowing I made a rookie mistake. The filter of you eating chick-fil-a was priceless! 😂

I'm so sorry that you lost your bettas, I have my partner feed my betta about 4 times a week and he has never kept fish before. I usually just portion out the food into a pill box every week so that I know my betta is being provided the right amount of food every time. Just thought this might be helpful to anyone who has to switch off feeding their fish with someone throughout the week or for a trip.

What do you use for infections? I have a few with I believe with fungal infection and some with some ulcers. I cannot recall which video covered this. Thank you.

Thanks for all that you do. I recently became a new fish owner, a beautiful Bumblebee betta named Knight. You’re channel has helped me a great deal. I have a question though. My betta will only eat flakes. He doesn’t like bloodworms or other snack foods I can’t remember the names of. I tried 2 different pellet fish food brands but he refuses to eat it. How can I help Knight to eat pellet food? Sorry about your fish. For traveling or vacation times when we’re gonna be out for a week or so and there’s no one I can ask to watch over my betta, what are other options?? I didn’t think of that until I saw this video. 😕

I have bought the tank and I am so intimidated by water readings . when I set up tank I want to place live plants and have it that way for a month or so before adding fish . So do I put the water conditioner in it when setting up or wait till I purchase fish. . Should I put plant conditioners in it. Where can I learn more about water readings

your best scenario would be to set up the tank now with plants, use water conditioner now as well. let the tank cycle for a month or more and use that time to do research on water test kits/parameters! best time to make mistakes since you wont have fish in it yet. once parameters are within goal ranges, then you can add fish :)

can you do a review on the fluval flex 9 gallon? it's a good nano tank, i bought it during 2020 and my betta loved it but there are def some issues. BUT overall its amazing. and my cat can sit on top of it without falling in HAHA
