Brantzen Poker

Brantzen Poker

Hey, I'm Brantzen! I've been playing poker most of my life; playing with family as a child, with friends as a highschooler, and at casinos from college until now. I'm based in the LA area, most commonly grinding out the $5/$5/10 NL streets. Hopefully you guys can learn, laugh, and/or be entertained by my videos! I'm always looking to improve my game, so any advice is welcome!

The fact you said 500 is a small profit, you got your head in the clouds.. if you made 100 a day playing everyday that's 3K make 500 a day that's 15K

As you may notice content creators make money- guaranteed money. Playing poker to support a family is overall irresponsible despite the highs, I hope you find a long term 40 year plan for income!

In theory going for a c/r on that board would be fine for many reasons (it's not a great board for your range, A will hit many hands, etc.), but in general I default to betting my made hands live because other players just don't bluff enough and are liable to call more. Instead of going for a c/r, just polarize your range here and bet like 1.5x pot with only A5s and 22 and throw in a 64s as a bluff (if you ever have that here).

I been playing poker seriously and while always having my job as a Network Technical Operations Manager as well. I have a 14 year old daughter and a wife and Before them I had a dream of just playing poker full time but when it was all of us. We decided having a constant income was a must. If I was to give any advice it is to have a day Job and play poker at night on weekends. Until you have an insane amount of cash. In my mind I am still a part time professional player with a main income. Just as you are with content creation and playing poker. I'm still able to play 20-30 hrs. a week which is all weekend either morning or night and a few sessions during the week. With my job I do get 6 weeks vacation a year. So I take many 4 day weekends where I can focus on poker. I am glad I never went full time playing poker as I still kept my bi weekly income, health insurance for the family, 401k, etc., And then make that extra cash on the side to splurge on clothes, vacations, dinners. Side note, I am a gardens regular for 23 years( since I was 21)and have played with you a few times and you are indeed a good player. I just like to play 5-5 more often. I do play 5-10 when I'm in Vegas, where I play about once a month. Have played in larger games, but once I was married 5-5 and 5-10 was the smartest play, to win some good cash with out risking a lot of money and going into debt. Playing poker full time is glamourous and has a status and can be very attractive, but having a happy wife and child with less stress is even better. Just like poker you have to have balance.

Love how ppl just expect to drop everything and make money especially when they have others to support lol 😂 wow. Start by not being such a nit on stream and getting better at poker. This is why channels like Brad Owen and Mariano are better to watch.

I thought it was sarcasm and was waiting for the punchline. You are making 100K a year and talk about struggling? You are making FAR MORE than the AVERAGE (not minimum) wage in the US. But hey, your channel, your party, you can cry if you want to.
