uhh, i honestly don’t get disturbed in vr, i’ve probably watched too much stuff.
I wonder if the engine.ini tricks would help the blur like they did assetto corsa competizione, i think there was something called "defered rendering" or something like that, but if you search acc blur fix engine.ini im sure it'll come up
how can you say tracking is anything like the Q2, i have both and a Q3, the crystal tracking is not good at all, also you failed to mention that that face foam after about 2 weeks starts to get thin and not good at all. very hard on the face build is just cheap all around. but i can say that everything else is awesome. the lens and screeens are great. takes a beast of a gpu... i have a 4070 super and that is not enough to get full benefits out of my Crystal light. Pimax please stock your 15mm face foam, and please fix your tracking
@@gaminginstilllife9429 my tracking has genuinely been absolutely fine and very close to the Q2 tracking. Not sure if it’s about lighting, the space, or what, but I have not had any issues with it. The facial interface is the same as the one on the original Crystal and I’ve used it for way more than 2 weeks and it looks and feels the same as it did on day one, so not entirely sure what you’re talking about. The fact that I like this headset all around is not to say the Quest 2 and Quest 3 aren’t great headsets. I own a lot of different headsets and I like each one in their own right.
@@VRManCave that's very curious I mean when I play the shooter games I lose tracking of the guns they tweak out more than they did when I had my quest too that's why I say the tracking is not the same even though it's the same exact room
Population, one Roblox, gorilla, tag, and many other games have been completely missed. My disappointment is unmeasurable, and my day is ruined.

I don’t own the 8KX so can’t do that comparison but since the Crystal Light is newer, I’d say it’s likely better in terms of clarity.

Simple. You don’t :)) You need to be on the same Wi-Fi otherwise even if you could connect, the latency would be insane and unusable.

You’re not the only one. It’s a matter of preference and what you like. I absolutely love it, but some of my friends don’t get the appeal. It’s fine, we’ll all different 😄
I’m so confused cause if I click a game on the desk top it doesn’t put me in the game VR style only desktop style…
Well think about it. Clicking a game on the desktop puts you in desktop mode, which is mostly for regular flat games that you might wanna play on a big screen. For VR, start the games from the VR menu instead. Press the Menu button on the controller, go to the Games tab and start them from there.

I wonder how can this video got 7K likes with lies, are people that dumb, i got the RTX 4080 Overclocked so i think i got the right GPU but following is setting results in worst visual and audio.
BS i have an RTX 4080 OC, and it was worst, got sound screeching with Oculus debbug tool and blue color light surrounding the side of vision. Bunch of lies
🤣🤣🤣 with all due respect, this is the stupidest comment I’ve ever gotten. Millions of Quest owners are using the debug tools with absolutely zero issues, so your problems are due to something else. If you think I spend my days recording and editing videos just to lie to you, then you have bigger problems 😂
I'm never buying an EA game again. They full on advertised VR support of this game in trailers and the game description but than make us wait half a year for it to actually get added to the game, and it's not even close to being good. Everything EA touches turns to shit.
The flash when you show the after picture is annoying. We can’t compare the images because the flash messes up our visual memory of the first picture.
Noted! The difference on video after KZread also adds their compression is nothing compared to what you see in headset. Just look at some of the other comments here. It’s night and day in headset.

It's literally just the base official Meta Quest Link app that everyone would already have installed if they're using the Quest for PCVR.

I agree with the physics part, but the graphics are extremely extremely outdated. Have you found any kind of shaders or patches to make it look a bit better?
@@VRManCave Idk i havent searched for it I use quest 2 so the graphics are ok and it runs perfectly Even better that assetto corsa Personally for me the feel is so much more important than graphics Dirt rally feels too responsive and the FFB is very light Still i love it Different sims for different needs

PLEASE....a stripped down version of the Crystal isn't king of anything. The regular Crystal stomps it hard. However I get it, not everyone can afford a full version Crystal so I guess it is a good thing Pimax started accepting EBT cards for the Crystal light.
I have both Crystal and Crystal Light and in my opinion, as mentioned in the video too, besides the eye tracking and maybe the microphone, there is literally nothing that makes the Crystal better than the Light. But I'm just a dude on the internet, doesn't mean my opinion is the truth :)

m using mac and it wont let me click add monitor, the option is there but its not clickable. Any clue on how to fix this?

After the latest 1.0 update no, it’s been optimized quite a bit and runs way better.

Hahahaha why comparing the quest 3 with the bobovr strap and not without for the weight ? 515gr vs 900gr looked to bad? 😂😂😂
The answer is quite simple, and two fold. First, the Quest 3 comes with a stock strap that's worse than a pair of women's underwear for keeping it stable on your head. Secondly, if I compared the weight of the Quest 3 alone, then it would only be fair to deduct the weight of the headstrap and headphones from the Crystal Light, wouldn't it? Finally, to give you the simplest possible answer, I was just comparing my personal favorite Quest 3 setup with the Pimax. P.S. If you use the Quest 3 with the stock strap, then hats off to you sir, you're a very rare breed.
indeed I use it with stock strap like the quest 1 and 2. I think I have a head like a female butt.

Thanks so much! So the Crystal Light is inside-out tracked by default, but if you get the lighthouse tracked version then yes, it will work with any base stations.
it's the video compression on the quest, I've played several driving games in VR and every quest I've ever tried looks like absolutely terrible when looking into the distance. Displayport connection to the headset made this an immensely better experience when I bought the HP Reverb G2.
Absolutely agree normally, but the implementation here is just bad. I've tried it on the Pimax Crystal as well and it's still terrible even over displayport. Also, almost every other racing game looks fantastic on the Quest 3, both wireless and wired.
@@VRManCave Okay fair play! Have you tried playing WRC with UVR mod? I wonder how the performance is in comparison, I feel like it was definitely better than the official but it's been a few months since I tried it
How do you walk backwards?
Haven’t used this in a while but if I remember correctly you can just lean backwards physically to walk in that direction
Not sure what wheels you’ve used. I have the G920 and doesn’t make any clunking noises at all when being used. Maybe when setting up pushing down but it doesn’t make any noise, just saying. It’s a wheel not a fan. Also the braking force can be changed in the software for harder or softer improving the load on them. It’s mainly software over hardware
I’ve used the G923 on 3 separate units and and full force feedback when cornering they were all loud compared to anything belt driven or direct drive. Also almost all reviews I’ve seen online mention it.

Do you have a Reverb G2? I'm curious how much better the visuals are than the G2? It's obviously a higher resolution and no fresnel lenses.. but curious of your thoughts! Especially is the FOV clearly larger??
I unfortunately don’t own the G2, but from everything I’ve read and watched, the sweet spot on the G2 is pretty small. On the Crystal Light it’s huge and from reading specs on the G2 online it seems the FOV is also considerably larger.
Hi, is the RTX 3080 enough to power this beast?
Hi, enough, on the 3080ti - MSFS works very well, sometimes small jams flying over big cities, but it's quite nice. But for full potential of this headset in games will be possible with series 5090 or rather 6080/6090.
3080 is definitely enough but just don’t expect to max out settings.

How do i see my oculus games to virtual desktop??
If you mean your PC games from Oculus Store, then they are in the Games Tab in VD. If you mean native Quest games, then you don’t see those there.

It’s miles better yes. I still love the Quest 3 but for PCVR the compression is not great, whereas on this Pimax one there is no compression so it looks incredible.

I have a 4090 on my main PC, but I've also tested this on my older 3070-powered PC and it worked just fine. Of course as you can imagine, you won't be able to max out everything on less powerful cards, but it will work.
My valve index is only a year old and my god do I want this now
Well, not to be rude but... the Index is a 5-year old headset, using very old tech. This Crystal Light is pretty much the latest and greatest 😁
The valve index still is a good headset, and still has THE BEST controllers and tracking. I'm sorry, but inside out tracking is doodoo compared to outside in. I'm still using my index and i love it. I'll only upgrade if valve releases a worthy successor
