    this was such a good series. Maybe not in a conventional sense, but I loved watching these. I feel very odd about DS2 because the art direction and story is so amazing and yet the gameplay is so terrible. But it holds a place in my heart because it's so different to the other games. Congrats on beating it!

    I do think Co-op is the way to play DS2, I played once solo and once co-op and it is a much more pleasant experience with a friend. I kinda popped in and out of the series with you and Emma because of a multitude of reasons, but I’m glad you finished. I’m glad you liked it. It is a challenging and very long game. Best of luck with your next series!

    This is such a massive game, and some of the mechanics feel super old and clunky. You did a great job at completing it! I used to dislike DS2 a lot, but your playthrough inspired me to go back to it, this time trying a Hex build, and I actually really enjoyed. It's still my least favorite Soulsborne game, but at least now I don't have any negative feelings towards it anymore. Maybe one day they will remake it and improve the aspects that were hindered by its troubled development, allowing it to truly shine.

    Amazing video! Congratulations on beating Dark Souls 2! I hope you go ahead and go for Dark Souls 3 when you get the chance, it is most definitely the most polished, and it is so fun. I also hope you do go back and defeat Sir Alonne of the Iron King DLC, as it's the coolest boss of that DLC. Regardless, thanks for uploading and I look forward to more. :)

    "I underestimated this [DLC]." Trust me, Amber, we all did. DS2 already has a large base game, and all the content that was added over months post-launch was a lot for people who played it actively at the time. The fact that you guys were able to power through just about all of it in a single go is incredibly impressive and it's been great to follow your journey through it! I know Elden Ring is the big thing now, but I'd love for you to experience a significantly better time in Dark Souls 3 sometime soon 🙂

    Hi Amber! Loved watching this series (especially the coop with Emma - multiplayer definitely makes the game better), congrats on beating the game! And your opinion on the game was way more positive than what most people have about the game (including me) - although it does have a certain charm about it okay, so a couple of points: 1. this dlc is something, i'm glad you played Dark souls 2, especially since its the outlier of the series. and it'll help you figure out DS3's story (but not in the way you think it does) - whenever you're set to play it. 2. i know it might be a bit too much - these games are quite overwhelming - but try checking out Demons souls on the ps3, i believe it's FROM's most unique game (magic build in DeS is just busted, you will breeze through the game). Bluepoint just couldn't recreate the charm of the original in their ps5 release - and Sony shut down the official servers on the ps3 🤦‍♂. Definitely take a break , you deserve it after finishing this mammoth of a game which is Dark souls 2 (and the 3 dlcs)

    A+ for effort :) I enjoyed the videos - I love sotfs, quirks and all. DS2 has it's gameplay issues and it's the black sheep of the series for a reason, I can imagine that having to then sit in post production for hours afterwards must really colour your experience - so it's a little bit of a shame in that regard. Imo though - sotfs has such a unique feel to the world & lore that no other souls game really get close to matching. I hope you do spend some lazy days just snuggled up with walton and maybe browsing some of the wikis and reading through stuff - putting the puzzle together in your head. There is a lot of *really* neat worldbuilding in DS2 but it's probably not gonna stand out to you in a lets play format. Either way tho, big kudos to actually giving DS2 a proper shot - many people don't even bother trying it themselves, you've now got first-hand experience and can come to your own conclusions :). Best of luck with medical things & whatnot - take care!

    I wish people didn't feel entitled to tell you how to play the game, be it backseat gaming or just bashing you for coop. I'm not going to lie - I didn't watch much of your ds2 playthrough, tuning in only for coop, because you have such amazing besties vibes with Emma. I hope this slog of a game didn't burn you out completely, because you have only treats left for you (okay maybe not DeS). Especially looking forward to Sekiro!

    YOOO!! You did it!! Congrats! Super fun play through! I had a great time. "I'm kinda tempted to keep my thoughts to myself." Absolutely do! It can take people years to process the pieces of art they enjoy. Think on it. People have had 10 years to criticize Dark Souls 2 and pick at its flaw and merits. You need some time too, especially with no lore videos under your belt (which reaction vids would be cool). Also, the co-op hate is total BS! Using co-op to overcome the challenge of Demon's Souls was a big part of the marketing for the OG Souls game. Plus you and Emma are a delight to watch together!

    How is this even close to be satisfying? You beat a boss using magic, which is DS2 very easy mode, you summoned 2 NPC's and you stay far far away hoping the boss won't notice you because If he does you're dead in 5 seconds... if someone ask you if you beat Fume Knight or X boss are you answering that you did, without mentionning how, or you say it? We mean if YOU beat it by yourself in melee. Fume Knight is the boss who have the highest number of wins against players... and all Souls bosses are included. It seem that some people have a very different experience than the majority and I bet you guys brag that Dark Souls isn't that hard... Anyway if you had fun that's what matters, but no wonder why you people " hate " 1 VS 1 PVP 😝

    I’m a massive FromSoft fan and I’ve played and completed every game except for this one. I checked out after a few hours because I just wasn’t feeling it and it’s various frustrations. I honestly didn’t watch much of your playthrough of this game because of that, but I definitely wanted to see your overall thoughts. It’s validating to hear you have the same complaints. Generally this is the most polarizing one of the bunch. But you have nothing to prove as far as your play style with this game. I couldn’t handle having hundreds of people constantly telling me how I should or shouldn’t be playing. The fun of these lets plays is just watching people enjoy something that you yourself loved and get to vicariously Re-experience. Your BB, DS1, and Hollow Knight playthroughs were a joy to watch. Can’t wait to see you move to DS3 eventually! Don’t let the toxic souls players kill your vibe!

  • @todeskult2818
    @todeskult281849 минут бұрын

    That's your opinion because I think the fun is watching how people handle a real challenge and if they are good! It's just sad to see someone summoning before fighting a boss then pretending they beat it. There's some people who think the fun is to watch other people dying endlessly... etc. You don't pvp? A massive Fromsoft fan sure would enjoy PVP, no?

    @@todeskult2818 Getting upset over how someone else plays a video game using mechanics included IN the game itself is so beyond childish. If gatekeeping strangers on the internet gives you fulfillment then maybe you should consider therapy.

    Congratulations on finishing it! Totally understand the souls burnout, and can't wait to see you play more games! If you haven't played it already, I think you would really enjoy the Link's Awakening remake on the Switch. It's a really cute Zelda game that's not too long, but full of charm.

    If you want to fight Raime, the rebel (aka the fume knight) with a sword and have a lot of fun, use the Drakeswing ultra greatsword upgraded as much as possible. Same moves as the zweihander but does way more damage. Use the L2 hit at close range to unleash its full power, always rolling under his left armpit before striking. But take LOTS of repair powder, because the drakeswings downside is that its fragile and it can be a long fight. When there were lots of players I used to haunt the Brume Tower as a spirit and help other players. Ive fought Raime literally hundreds of times. You can beat him with none of the healing thingies destroyed but to do it you have to do lots of damage, very fast. So you have to bring your best game to the fight. Two of the best bosses in the game, including Raime, are in the Brume Tower.

    hey Amber, first sorry if this bothers you, by no means its the purpose of the comment will you ever play Deltarune? i loved your Undertale playthrough and would love to watch you playing Toby Foxs another game. Its significantly different than the first one, has greatly improved visually and artistically, the combat its also better than the first one, the only downside i could find its that sometimes the story and characters are too childish (which makes sense since theyre all childrens doing childish things which also its not a bad thing for itself, but certainly not for everybody) but if you enjoyed Undertale u will greatly enjoy this too
