DIY esk8 Builders

We make build tutorials and reviews for electric skateboards. You can also find some other cool EV projects that we have built as well!

We are two lifelong friends who love electric skateboards. We built our first board in summer 2017 and have been building and improving ever since. Most of our content is about how we build our boards and other PEV's. We also have many reviews for DIY parts, accessories, and complete electric skateboards. If you want us to make a video about something put it in the comment section and we'll do our best to get our hands on it.

Companies: Please email us for inquiries on review videos.

So I guess the conclusion is that dual motor vs single motor is more important than voltage.

Controller limiter? I built a fat tire Ebike with a 72v 5000w motor and a 50ah battery topped out at 73mph. A little overkill, I know and it's too scary fast, but needed the speed to be able to avoid the bad drivers not paying attention.... You did a great build there and I love it, I was just wondering why not a little more power to help getting out of possible bad accident.... Good job!

Yeah, you can boil down this video to this bike builder as saying: I build a moving flesh stripper for the pelvis. It basically consists of totally eliminating any elements of suspension from the design of this sh#t e-bike so the experience is as excruciating for the rider as possible as their bodies are exposed to every irregularity in the road's surface and increasing that effect by positioning the seat really close to the ground. Yup, I have access to cad software to fill this world with as many anti-ergonomic designs as possible.... and that's a life commitment as the dumbest designer.

Yo, just a heads up.. you're limited to a maximum of 6,720 watt for a second or 2 with this setup. If you upgrade to an 18s setup, it'll output a tad over 7kw for a little while. I have the same motor as well

Love it! Just a quick tip, mentioning the temper designation of the aluminum motor mounts is great but a bit technical, so in the future I'd personally recommend that you call it "Tempered 7075 Aluminum" and list the actual temper designation on the website. Not many people will know the differences between temper designations and grades (there's 5 individual temper designations: F, T, H, O, and W. Stable tempering, indicated by the T after the alloy designations, has 10 main temper subcategories). I think you'd have better audience retention by cutting out some of that kind of clutter and saving it for those who want to research it themselves.
