A huge thank you to PCB Way for sponsoring this video and providing all of the custom CNC parts. This board is a huge upgrade from the previous mini college cruiser that we made. It is definitely more expensive than buying a pre-built board with similar specs, but it has all of the features that I want in a board that I use every day to get to class.

I feel like we’d get more boards like this if companies heard more feedback from people in the traditional skateboarding / longboarding community and less from San Francisco tech bros.
We are elated to be one part! 🥳🥳🥳

It is such a nice deck
I already know that rides silky smooth
Ah yes, a 12s1p battery, for the people that like to board down the sea front, then walk back..

There will always be a new board!
What skateboard headlights are you using?

Shredlights. They are the best!
What flipsky motor would you recommend to cruise at at least 30 mph? I also need a battery that will take me at least 20 miles. My average cruising speed will be 28-30, and I’ll be using the same deck shown in this video with some soft and fat longboard wheels. Any help would be appreciated. 😁 I’m planning to transition from a teamgee mini to a DIY, and I already have the drop cat. Also, this will be used as a daily commuter.

The speed is determined by the KV of the motor rather than its size. For a decently power board I would recommend using dual 6355. We actually have a new mechanical kit that I think would work well for this kind of build: propulsionboards.com/products/rkp-mini-complete-mechanical-kit For wheels I would go big with some MAD wheels, Dad bods, or TB 110's. @@DIYesk8Builders Do you think the kit you linked would work with the hobby wing ESC and the 7.5Ah that comes with the teamgee H20 Mini? This would just be a temporary set up until I get more parts. I’m mostly concerned about forcing those motors to fit whatever parameters that have been set by hobby wing for hub motor use.

It would probably work but you would really be limiting the motors. I can't say for certain though. Long term I would go VESC based ESC

@@DIYesk8Builders how did you design it? What software did you use? What material did you print it out of? How did you match the curve of the board with the curve of the enclosure?
@DIYesk8Builders
Жыл бұрын
I took some measurements and pictures of the deck outline and curvature. I then used OnShape which is a free cloud based CAD software to draw up the part. Both enclosures were printed on a PRUSA MK3+ printer with PETG as the filament. Let me know if you have any other questions

Not so well. Let's just say there have been a few re-prints...
Try putting a surfskate truck on and see is you can charge it with just kinetic energy
