do you have to make any reservations or permits at the campsite?
Nope. It's a dispersed area.
Hello! I just watched your video like 5 times. How do you silicone the crap out of the tent seams? 😂 Is it a spray? Any particular brand? Thanks in advance for any info and I've liked and subscribed.

You've just saved me from my 6 months long headache of trying to find a system for my Ford Ranger Wildtrak X.... you won't believe how IMPOSSIBLE it is to find anyone that knows anything about Ford's Flexible Rack System, it has a cross bar system that can be deployed out or hidden away when there is no rooftop load, but this made the side rails much thicker than all other models of Rangers and as a result, rooftop accessories for owners of the Platinum or Wildtrak X models is literally zero, you'd either have to take off the factory rails or forgo thinking about using a platform system. The secret from your video is the Yakima lock n load clamps... they will fit nicely with the factory crossbars. Why can't these rooftop specialists just recommend this little nugget that could've solve all Ranger Platinum/Wildtrak X's headaches is beyond my comprehension. Thank you so much for showing the Build of materials screenshot, without it, Yakima themselves didn't even know what the heck i was talking about -_- Liked and subbed faster than my heart could beat! Keep up the good work.
Glad I could help!!
“…had better fake reviews…”. HILARIOUS 😂😂😂
Cody made & was dual survivor. The show was never the same & went downhill after he left. I couldn’t stand “kill everything” joe teti.
Was there a follow up to the 3rd can? Can't find it.
Nah. Third can didn’t leak.
@@WastingTimeInTheWoods thanks
it blows my mind how much fuel the GX uses reported from owners. I towed over 2,000 lbs + 400 lbs of cargo with my stock (305hp) Subaru STi over 2,000 miles (3500kms) and I could still get 18mpg. By "still" I mean, I get 18mpg unloaded, so it didn't use much more fuel.
True. But the GX will likely still be running like a champ long after the Subi throws a rod : ) Big, perfectly balanced V8... but thirsty as hell.
Funnny I grew up in Broken Arrow
The book “Sands of the Kalihari” (made into an excellent film) describes a water retrieval system where, using Cody’s guidance for finding likely spots for wet sand, the desert survivalist digs a slanted hole deep into the sand and creates a slightly widened chamber at the deepest, wettest level. The chamber is filled by a packed ball of grass. A tube (a hose, hollow reed, etc) is extended to the center of the grass ball in the chamber. The tunnel is backfilled with the sand (the grass ball prevents backfilling of the chamber). When the above ground end of the tube is sucked, the vacuum created in the chamber draws the sand’s water into it and up the tube to the mouth for drinking or filling a canteen. A Bushman technique.
CODY COME BACK👍
Nice job, the only video I've found useful. Well done my friend.
Glad it helped!
Use Racksbrax for quick release awning brackets. A little pricey but nice and lockable.
kody thanks man, I'm glad to see a man who is one of my idols and warned the journalist that you had an interview, the Americans presented themselves as totally uninformed even without such idiotic questions,I don't wanna use the term stupid nation and don't spread myths and legends to children explain kody man, fairies and unicorns don't exist, thank you very much
thank you to the channel for presenting the most humble and capable man I have ever met, thank you
Always liked Cody on the shows
Got to say I was going to say something because of your description. Fully loaded 2023 GX460 was not cheap! I actually did my own research and wheels and tires I put on hers were identical. She loves them and personally for me I’d do the same other than tires would be bigger.
Thanks so much for walking through the process!
“What’s a throttle body” 😂 I’m lost for words
After running this setup for quite a while have you had any issues with the hose from the compressor to the manifold getting too hot next to other components?
No. Pump overheats once in a while if I try to go 40 psi in on a hot day. No issues with components though. Would do a 2781 if I did it again but too many other projects to tackle at the moment.
Excellent video! 😂😂😂 We are camping for the first time next weekend with this tent. Ive watched at least 15 videos of setting up this tent. This was by far the most entertaining and helpful ( first video to say how big a tarp I should use!) Thank you. Liked and Subscribed! 👍👍👍
I hope it goes great and thanks for watching! Good luck : )
whats the part number for 99 talls?
48131-35400 front R
48131-35350 front L
48231-35210 Rear
decent info despite having to suffer thru your annoying bits of trying to be funny and why the dumb music ?
I put the music in to distract you from dad jokes. Same reason I have a gorilla loose in my house. Had mice, added cats, cats multiplied = gorilla.
Water weights 8 pounds per gallon for fuck sake 😂😂😂
The snake bite one is crazy, the fangs do the same a needle does…as soon as thy deliver the venom it goes through your veins. It’s not like an ant bite where it stays in the local area, it spreads quickly.
Found your channel looking for GX460 content and cannot believe this channel doesn’t have a 100k+ subs! The production and editing on your videos are top notch and funny as hell! Keep making videos man!
I’m often surprised by my own mediocrity myslef ; ) I appreciate the vote of confidence and welcome aboard!
Very entertaining and funny, as well as informative too! Very well done!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love your sense of humor!
Thank you!
Was thinking this video was interesting and informative but I couldn't get past the background jazzy music! I moved on!
Sorry! Thx for trying : )
I love Cody...but if you close your eyes and just listen, you it's like listening to Trump lol.
Wheels are ugly but great video.
Thx!… I think.
Great video. I couldn't find much about the Ironman FCP. Can you share your experience using the kit, ride quality and performance, etc. I guess it's been a year since you installed it. Thank you
Been a couple years. Around 25K miles. Still love it. No issues. Soaks up washboards, firm enough on the big hits but soft enough around town. Would do the same kit again. I’m even over the rake, I might have gone with the 3” instead of the 2.5” in front but it handles really well and I’d hate to have front end float on the freeway, so….🤷♂️
@@WastingTimeInTheWoods thank you very much. I'm looking into installing it on my 4Runner. Already ordered kit and waiting. Your video gives me great affirmation.
hi the option for "P/W UP W/TRANSMIT " is not showing for me but for the "P/W down W/TRANSMIT " is exist
"Yeah, my neighbors hate me, but I gotta test it."
🤷♂️
This is epic. You’ve done all the work for me!!!!
Twice in most cases!
nice work! I need to re-do my drawer system for my 460. It's finally falling apart after 2 years of heavy use.. was only supposed to be a prototype 😛
This is exactly how my drawer/tray with 8020 has gone. I'm on my 4th iteration. That's the problem with 8020, it's too tempting to mess with it more 😂.
'It's finally done! Oh wait... I've got an idea.'
Looks great! Love your style of videos!
Thx!
Love your videos... I have gx too and I'm heading out to sedona next week for day... wish me luck...
Go here! And good luck 😁 kzread.info/dash/bejne/eHqAyKucpq2rY5M.html
@@WastingTimeInTheWoods , plan too, plus a few others.... Just waiting on parts from amazon for my smitty built pump install... 😜
Had a very similar experience with my 22' 4Runner. All the kits I've installed (Billstein 6112/5100 - FOX 2.5 DSC - Dobinsons IMS) have all landed off from the expected ride heigh or lean. My 4runner isn't overly heavy (about 150 lbs added total) but I've had to always swap, adjust, add spacers, correct geometry to keep the rear axel aligned, etc etc etc, because it always lands different than expected. And also can sometimes pull to the right. Is for this same reason that I started doing my own wrenching. I couldn't imagine paying (or annoying) a shop with all of these adjustments I've had to make, to make sure it lands exactly where I want it. But I am glad I did. Because I've learned so much.
👍

@@WastingTimeInTheWoods Yessssssss!
We need a Cody and Matt Graham show. PERIOD!
15 MPG, yes, stock. Around town (fairly flat land) we are getting 16-17mpg Interstate runs 21 mpg. But, its a stock GX460 without air suspension, and any aftermarket addons.
We just finished a 2k mile roadtrip. Lots of national parks so idling and stop and go between long freeway runs. We got 16mpg with the roof rack on (just awnings mounted). I did 75-85 a lot as we were in western states with high speed limits.
Anyone else getting 11mpg? Heavy foot? Roof rack?
That was when I worked from home and let it idle with the dog in it all the time. I actually get 15-16 mixed now that I commute 30 miles per day.
Great video. I made the rookie mistake of adding the shelf too low and had clearance issues when I tried to close the tailgate on my 2011 GX. I viewed this video a few times and used it to do my project. Only today did I realize that you already have your third row seats removed. Mine are still in place, so the clearance tolerance is higher than optimal. Word to the wise, if you leave third row in, your table will be higher up on the rear panel and (in my case) you will have to do some after market mods to the topmost screw hole because the door trim bevels inward just at the location of the top-most hole position on the Bison. 🌲
Thx for sharing!
Any rattles?
Nope. But I replaced provided nuts with nylocks and used lock tight where I could not (lower side panel screws)
@@WastingTimeInTheWoods ok great! that's been my concern with these
Silly question about the front. Why not use a spring compressor. Or put the wheels on and lower it so it compresses the spring and then connect the sway bar?
Probably could of, but I hate those things. Since doing this I’ve seen a few demos of how it can be done by jacking up one side. Ive got a set of ucas and lcas sitting on my shelf so I’ll probably find out here shortly.
Damn really just giving everything away 😂 Wish more people at least respected the land if gonna go
Very nice! I'm going to try and make it out there.
Send cut send says they cannot use the cad design for the rear bracket. I think they need them without the measurements.
Hmmm. I’ll check into that. Stay tuned.
Check the folder again. I made a send cut send compatible version. The only issue is send cut send doesn’t list m10x1.25 tapping, only m10x1.5. You can just use m10x1.5 for those (platform to bracket connection) or try a different vendor. M10x1.5 s more common than 1.25 so the bolts would be just as easy to source, you just can’t re-use the seat bolts. Let me know how it goes!
Thank you!
