Ghost Town - Broke Down Overland Adventure

We took a trip down to the Mexican border to explore the remains of a ghost town and overland through the desert back to Phoenix. We must have picked up a ghost along the way because the GX went into check engine - limp mode in the middle of nowhere. Come along for the ride on our Ghost Town Broke Down Adventure.

If the owners are watching, Im a photographer from LA. 7:35 Photographers and brands would probably pay hundreds per hour or thousands per day to shoot in that building if they listed it on Peerspace or submit it to Image Locations Its pretty remote so that may steer some people away but worth a shot if they're into it.

They’re def not interested. I had to negotiate for 2 weeks with several parties and agree not to reveal the location to get access. It would be amazing to shoot in! But its totally dangerous…

Just got back from sleeping in it up in Sedona. Love it more today than when I bought it. I should have 3-4 more videos coming out next month mostly on GX based camping stuff. Stay tuned and thanks for watching!

This was a awesome video. I’m a new kind of camper in the mainland, from Hawaii. If possible can you talk about camping and how to deal with pests? Ticks, bugs etc. I want to take my son (4) but idk what I’m doing and you do.

Tbh, in az we don’t have to deal with them as much. I do have a cheap molle seat back organizer (amzn.to/3uYURf6) that I keep bug spray, sunblock, fire extinguisher, medkit, etc. in. When we go to ca it gets buggy sometimes and we use head nets if we have to. Start with an easy overnight to someplace close and build from there. You guys will have a blast! Just take some extra snacks. Snacks covers all sins when we parents inevitably screw something up : )

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news : ) If it makes you feel better, it was the result of service I had that week, not a random failure. Toy did a 3p Fuel service and cleaning the throttle body broke it. I'll cover it in a new video soon.

@@WastingTimeInTheWoods Well that is good news at least. I recommend carrying a wifi OBD2 reader and Dash Commander or similar. They are only $20 and it will dx your trouble code, so at least you have some info to decide if it is driveable or not. Spot X satellite messengers (and probably the InReach) also have a paid service where you can summon a tow truck or recovery service without cell service, as well. I know you had a second vehicle (always a good idea) but these are pretty inexpensive and provide peace of mind out in the sticks for things like medical emergencies, too. Looking forward to the next video!
