We're Duca and Roberta, a Brazilian couple who purchased a 44ft steel sailboat (Dinieper Tropic 1200) that was neglected for over 22 years. After spending 2 years refitting her, we named her Odd and sailing along the Brazilian coast for a year and a half. We took a 13-day passage to the Caribbean and explored islands for 6 months, where we unexpectedly received an offer to buy our boat. So, we sold our beloved Odd and moved to France to start the building of our brand-new 43ft Aluminum Deck Saloon sailboat. Meta Chantier Naval will be responsible for building the aluminum components (hull, rudders, and keels), then we will do ourselves all the systems, furniture... As the boat construction will take a few months we are embarking on a new project to have a place to live. We purchased a van and will be transforming it into our tiny house on wheels.
We hope to inspire others to follow their dreams.

Thanks a lot for the support my friend. The reason why we worry is because this directly affects our financial ability to keep going. We are not complaining at all but the delay of the yard and not having the possibility of film directly affects our lives. We would love to have enough money to shoot the videos we want and not need to worry about views but unfortunately that is not the case. We he videos is what makes it possible for us to keep going. To be honest we are jealous of him. In a good way of course 😅 but we had the plan of having a kid and we didn’t want to do that in Vietnam. I’m sure they have hospitals with great quality but it is really far from home. Here is pretty easy for family to visit and for us to visit them. And I think Europe can be a great place for a kid. 🥰

I can’t believe they are welding a boat and its not in a jig, to keep it true. I’ve given up on you guys and Sailing Yaba,you all are trying to do everything on the cheap! Your lives are at risk here. You’re not a master carpenter, or a marine engineer. Just buy a boat that’s finished! I’m sorry, but this is too stressful to watch anymore. Making a separate comment to address losing subscribers: be mindful majority of time is not about 'you'/channel content. The users interest change. Mine definitely did massively, I recently went on a 'cleaning' spree, I unsubscribed 10+ channels, everything personal finances and programing is gone, some of these KZreadrs I followed for a decade, may career and interest changed. It's literally the quote: "it's not you, it's me" 😂
