    Great video! My high-temperature warning light came on randomly one day at 150k miles on my CT200h. I replaced the water pump using the Aisin from Rock Auto because I've been burned too many times by Amazon counterfeits and didn't want to take a chance with my car. The tip about turning the wheel to the right and accessing the bottom bolt from the wheel well worked really well! Personally, I found it easier to get the three bottom bolts from that area and the top two from above. I also went to O'Reilly to buy a radiator coolant hose to connect to the drain hole for the coolant, so I didn't have to completely remove the panels. I used a bucket when I removed the water pump and placed it behind the pump when looking from the bottom.

    There are many fakes on Amazon, but the link in the description is Aisin’s Amazon store. Thanks for the other tips and thanks for watching!

    Outside of checking all your connections, you may have a faulty unit. If they look good I would see if they could exchange it for you.

    Thank you! Brilliant insights! My question is this: I’m super familiar with the Ford hybrid/ PHeV implementation, which uses two electric motors! Their explanations seemed to say that the 2nd smaller motors was for dedicated Regen. Seems inefficient and I didn’t understand why… here you stated that the second smaller electric motor serves as the alternator/ starter (I now get that!) (Q1) Is this also true in the Ford implementation? (2) I just purchased that 2017 Ford Focus EV, all electric. Does the FFE use two electric motors like Ford hybrid solution? Or does it only use one? Thanks!!!

    This has got to be the most f'd up design I have ever seen from vw. What were there engineers smoking when they made this? What happened to designing a car that doesn't require a mechanical engineering degree to work on? This is f'd up vw!!

    I know that is video is pretty old, but I have a question. The 2 red wired on the ignition. You mentioned that you could run a jumper wire and make the starter crank. We'll I took a test light to both of the big red wires and they both have power. Is that supposed to be like that?

    Hands down the best tutorial video I ever seen about this issue with the 1.4 turbo cam chain, I think where I live no one will do this work,they just tell you to drive as long as it last and then they replace the whole engine from some dissembled car.😂

    Help: So I replaced my head gasket myself about 3-4 months ago and when it was time to do an oil change, I noticed an oil leak and almost two quarts missing. I was hoping it was the timing cover because it was only to that side, but to my dread, it does look like it maybe the gasket, but it's hard to tell being so close to where it meets the timing cover. Any advice or tips on how to proceed / what potentially I did wrong? How much time do I have with a slow oil leak potentially from a HG because it might be a while until I can tackle this project again, will driving it and topping off be okay for a bit? Thanks.

    The chain tensioner gasket is a problem area for oil leaks on these along with the timing cover. I’ve never seen the head gasket externally leak oil.

    Yes you can buy the seals separately , one per package so get two. I would replace the rubber seals regardless of the condition of the old one, cheap insurance. Make sure to note when you take the old seal off which side goes towards the actuator as the seal actually has one side that is slightly different than the other. Brake cleaner is great stuff but wouldn’t MAF Sensor cleaner be better to use in this case because it doesn’t leave any “ residue “ and you don’t want to chance it with these vital parts.

    The Frankfurt is the better option, imho. The LED colour indeed is a bit too weak, especially with sunlight. Sound quality is perfect.

  • @AutoScholarwithMrB
    @AutoScholarwithMrB15 күн бұрын

    That is what I am hearing as well. I think the Frankfurt would work well in an e36 design wise, but look a little off in an e30. That’s why I went with this one. Definitely having second thoughts about that. Thanks for your comment!
