Lisa, tried to find your email address - just wanted to clarify on clue 9 - we don’t need 144 pieces for template B, correct? Thx 😊
@@peggyc3109 correct :)
Knitting needle😊
Hello Lisa. Thanks for sharing your recipes and quilting.
You lost me at the start when you got rid of the fabulous cast iron and vitreous china sink.
Hi Lisa, this was a treat to watch. Thanks for showing the benefit to glue each fabric after stitched...game changer. Is the "pointy tool" what people use when making vinyl stencils? Great idea. I like the light background and really like green and purple. But the brown looks great on your island and has a vintage look. Awhile ago I made a small "hug" piece for a quilting friend who needed a hug when her husband was very ill. It came out great, but some parts had do parts over because I sewed or cut wrong. I like your pattern and the easy font.
super cool !!! nice set up looks perfect for creating
Oh, yeah, I meant to say that brushing milk on your dough right before baking will give you a soft crust!❤
Those look fabulous! I’m so glad you use tallow! I only have lard so, I’m going to try that. You’re right, lard & tallow are much healthier than the processed oils at stores! One thing I’ve found to solve the no- milk 🎉problem is to buy Fair Life whole milk. It’s ultra pasteurized so it has a 3-4 week shelf life! It’s expensive but, not when you’re NOT a milk drinker who only needs it for cooking! That way, I don’t have to buy a a pint/quart & end up wasting half of it!😩 Maybe it would help you if you bought it & told Harlan that it is just for cooking😂🤷♂️ Thank you for another great video! I’m so glad I found your channel ❤️🙏❤️
I really enjoyed this! One thing I’ve learned in my bread making journey is, there’s no one way to make bread nor is there one way to knead it! I will definitely try your recipe! I am also definitely going to find that bread slicer! Thank you for sharing this with us, you are such a sweet person!!❤❤❤
Oh this looks so good. I can’t make it until after my daughter’s wedding or I won’t fit into my dress!
Glad everything is working out for you. Are the templates and instructions posted somewhere? I see no Description on this video.
if you click on "show more" under the title of the video, the description box will open, that is where all of the links to this pattern are :)
Lisa, I am sorry but what is AP flour?
@lindagilmore8352 all purpose :)
What dehydrator do you have?
this is our dehydrator, it works really well! amzn.to/3XO4Gh3
Brilliant I love this video, thank you so much. Does the flannelette sheet work just as well if it's not attached to a board but just hanging against a wall? Thank's also to Harlan for the stud finding tip.
12:26 Im going to scolded for this but if a quarter inch seam is so difficult that there are videos on how to do it and each video shows ways to get it that involve so much checking, why do we need to do a quarter inch seam? They are harder to press, bulkier, so why not do a half inch seam? That lays open when it's pressed or trim it down? Yes you need to cut your squares a half inch bigger but thats easier than the quarter inch thats right on the feeder teeth or at tge very edge of the presser foot or washy tape that needs be torn off to put a new bobbin in. I just dont understand the quarter inch and scant quarter inch when its so difficult! i do appreciate that you show us how to do it without changing the pressure foot. Or how about not being right on the feed dogs and change the needle to the right to get a quater inch?
You are just full of so many great ideas! Thanks!
Love the videos ❤
Another great tutorial! Thanks so much! See you in a couple of weeks!
Me again 🙂 How do you keep the width from going all wonky when you cut across the final seam? The 1/4" seam allowance adds a "jog" to the line, and my seam binding is awfully rough where it crosses over.
I have learned so much being a beginner at foundation paper piecing! It is so much fun and I'm truly hooked, " YOU ENABLER YOU" LOL. But, I'm still slow, just now on clue 5. But, I'm doing it! All due to your instructions and helping us. Your truly amazing, thank you!
Congratulations tlnk for winning the fat quarter bundle. Looking forward to seeing your quilt with autumn colors!! Thanks Lisa!!
I can't wait to have zucchini bread :) I never thought to dehydrate zucchini before. I'll have to try that. I always forget about doing herbs in that too instead of in the mesh hanging thing like yours. Homemade relish is awesome!!! Congrats on your first batch.
Hi everyone. Please stay safe from the storm. I live in Houston and we might get a lot of rain so I am prepared. BTW, happy 4th of July 2024.
I know you are prepared Sharon!! I'm keeping an eye on the storm, you've been on my mind
My goodness...you are one busy lady...love your snippets...
I'm so happy to hear you've decided to switch out snack foods for healthier ones (they sound so yummy!!). You'll benefit greatly! If you're able, try walking the perimeter of your property 3X's, every morning (or some other plan, unless you walk a treadmill, etc.) Cholesterol is reduced by aerobic exercise, & BP will come down & normalize. One of my knees prevents me from walking. Makes me sad cuz I used to jog regularly & love the endorphins created, besides the bonus blessings from fresh air & sunshine. However, I've resorted to indoor exercise & it's a good 2nd option. You're amazing, Lisa ❤️
Morning from nebraska
Sadly, ystdy we heard of 2 deaths of "family"...one from church, a faithful deacon, and a n'bor, only 49 y.o., who died from heat prostration. So hard!!
I'm so sad to hear this news!
Good Morning Everyone! Happy Day after the fourth, hope everyone enjoyed the day 🇺🇸
Good morning everyone. Hope your 4th of July was awesome.
You are doing great, i love it and i can do it to my countertop
Well, I know what I'm going to do next time I need bias binding. Great tutorial: good pacing, clear instructions without a lot of extra chatter, camera was positioned well so it was easy to see what you were doing. Thank you for posting!
what needle are you using? what stitch length?. love your videos. they are clear to follow and not overwhelming. excellent info.
Thank you, Lisa! I'm all caught up again. Had to finish quilting a king size quilt.
Yum! you make me hungry every time you show us your great foods.
I waited. My first grand baby is due, and that bundle would be a great addition to her first quilt!
I really would like to get a pattern for this episode. How would I go about getting that?
Hello Lisa, you make the sweetest mug rugs. I am addicted to your patterns. I have put them on placemats, mug rugs and hopefully a baby quilt in the near future. Thank you so much. Im new to sewing and you make it so much fun! Love your channel ❤ Big Hugs!
I WAITED
I HAVE SO LOOKED FORWARD TO EVERY FRIDAY. THANK YOU SO MUCH
What a great handy item to make. I do have one question. Why the hell didn't i think of school glue to use instead of basting spray. Here in New Zealand it's expensive at $55: for a can. And I always have school glue around my home. So a massive thank you for this idea
Have you thought about milling your own flour? I mill mine and the flavor is WOW! I love seeing you having so much fun with your baking.
@@sandyrichmond2570 I have! What mill do you have? I've been having a hard time deciding which one to get
@@TheQuiltmakerHomestead I have the KoNo Fidibus Medium. The KoNo mills have a 12 year warranty is the reason I chose it. Simple and easy to use. Grinds from coarse to really fine flour. A little bit of an investment but worth it. There are cheaper ones that work just as well but the warranty isn’t nearly as long. They sell out fast but usually not for long. I got mine from Pleasant Hill Grain out of Nebraska with different ones to choose with descriptions and wattage on them. I have found their grains to be on the pricey side but probably due to delivery costs. Whenever we go south I stop at Bread Beckers in Georgia and buy up grain at nearly half the cost. They have co-ops but none really near me.
I would try this recipe. Where do I get the recipe.
@@cherylrodriguez1957 it's in the description box of this video :)
How do I get the recipe. i couldn't find the recipe.
@cherylrodriguez1957 click on the link in the description box, that brings you to the bread video. The recipe is in that video's description box
You deserve a huge pat on the back for seeking ways to avoid eating Ultra Processed foods! Just checking out the ingredients listed on the supermarket bread wrapper will show up products that you'd never find in a food cupboard, let alone a food store! My neighbour here in France is a professional bread baker (boulanger) with his own bakery (boulangerie), and is happy to tell me (often!) that your 'daily bread' is made from only 4 ingredients - flour, yeast, salt and water - unless you are making brioche. He offers the following helpful suggestions: + only use strong bread flour as it has far more gluten and will stretch (rise) better + you only need 9 grams (2 tsps) yeast (fresh yeast is preferable) to raise 1 kilo (8 cups) flour + knead, by hand or machine, until temp of dough reaches 24C (75F) internally + 2nd proving is best done overnight in a fridge (commercially) + slash your bread with a lame just before baking, not before 2nd proving + bake at 220C (450F) + for a good crust, add a metal container to the bottom of oven filled with boiling water + a hand-shaped loaf (not baked in a tin) is better finished with a dusting of flour before slashing As Lisa demonstrated, a lame (blade) is traditionally used to put a decorative cut to the top of a loaf of bread. It is an old fashioned razor blade that is held in a special handle that bends the blade into a slight curve. Apologies for such a lengthy post!
I waited love listening to you
Thank you for sharing. Definitely easier than hand sewing. I only have one little bone to pick: pins aren't the enemy! As a new quilter, it was, and still is, frustrating to think I am "less than" for using pins. I appreciate your showing how to use pins, but was it necessary to refer to them as "dreaded"?
Know that it has ALWAYS been my heart to gear my content towards quilters just starting in their journey along with experienced quilters, and it is never my intention to offend anyone. Actually it is my belief that MOST quilters use pins as a tool in their work, including myself. We don't all have to enjoy using the same tools, and that's okay! It's our passion for the craft that brings us together.
I have been loving this bread recipe and have been making it every week. I don’t buy bread anymore so this will be awesome for some hoagies. ❤️
You are so inspiring!
I would so love to have the template for these, how do I get them, these are so lovely and would make such a great gift
Oh my goodness what fun! I can't wait to try this. Thank you for sharing your baking as well as sewing!
