I love both versions. I think either a dark or light background looks good, it depends on where you are going to put the runner. Another great project!

You are my favorite quilter ❤ I found your channel years ago at a time when I did not believe I “knew enough” about sewing keepsakes to make it a business but your sewing tips and tutorials were amazing! The Lords timing was perfect ❤❤❤ Thank you so much for all your help and sharing your sewing tips ❤

Hi Lisa, this was a treat to watch. Thanks for showing the benefit to glue each fabric after stitched...game changer. Is the "pointy tool" what people use when making vinyl stencils? Great idea. I like the light background and really like green and purple. But the brown looks great on your island and has a vintage look. Awhile ago I made a small "hug" piece for a quilting friend who needed a hug when her husband was very ill. It came out great, but some parts had do parts over because I sewed or cut wrong. I like your pattern and the easy font.

What mat are you using to cut on? I can see it’s transparent to place over your light box.

That's my Cutterpillar glow board :) It has a clear cutting mat so you can cut right on your light pad, cool right? There is also a glass cover you can put on it so you can press right on the light pad too. Here is the link to where you can check it out. Hi Lisa,I may have missed if you said, but why did you sew on the paper? I've been watching one of your videos where you sewed next to the paper. I'm new and just want to learn this.

I like switching up techniques to keep myself interested hahaha....there are so many different ways to do foundation paper piecing and I like showing the variety :) You could certainly make this runner using the method where you don't sew through the paper, and an added benefit is that you can keep using the foundations :) Here lately I seem to appreciate how the paper stabilizes the seams as you are going along.
