I've been feeling like a change is needed.....for some time now. I believe my new KZread channel name is way more fitting! I am still a quilting based content creator, that will not change, however I feel like I should also include all the other things that we are learning along the way. Oh Lisa your channel name fits perfectly. I had Dentures years ago and I never had any pain whatsoever except the first couple of weeks trying to chew it was tender. They put my dentures in the day they pulled my teeth and put in temporary dentures and within a few weeks I got my permanent ones. Can't wait for you to show us more of your homesteading videos

This is first time here! Looking forward to many more! I had all my top teeth pulled almost a year ago with minimal problems. Lots of fitting as my gums healed and swelling went down. White bread (store bought) sticks to your dentures but wheat does not. I have not made homemade bread in years! I need to try it. Will change your taste some! You will love it being done I have not regretted a single moment. ❤

I have been making your bread recipe since you originally posted it, and I LOVE it. Im not good at math, but I figured out the measurements to make just one loaf (I live alone so don't need two loaves each week). I can't wait for the new recipe to be posted. I also bought a Ninja countertop oven like yours and haven't used my stove oven since I got it. Thank you for the inspiration for that as well. A change in name may spur changes in your creativity. We will still be watching. ❤️

I recommend you watch Ben Starr on KZread. He has a real no nonsense approach to making sourdough bread.He says most purchased sourdough bread has flavoring added to give it the sourdough flavor, so you may be pleasantly surprised by how delicious it is. My favorite is to add dried cranberries and pecans. Delicious! Good luck with your teeth! Cindy

Love it❣️🥰 I got so much useful information about T-shirt quilts from you & I thank you….I’m on #6🤦🏻♀️😂 I NEEDED a little more creativity & incorporated EPP hexagons in this LAST one😎 I’m a sourdough baker & today I did my regular sourdough recipe in a Pullman pan…it’s texture is a cross between “my bread”, a bagel & an English muffin 😂 so good. The crust is much thinner than the Dutch oven. I had a neighbor years ago…that told me…her dentist told her NEVER take out her teeth…only to clean them. Years later I had to make a decision & heeded her warning. I’m glad I did🙏. Many blessings 🥰❣️
Yay for having new internet and new channel name! The name is fitting for the channel. Of course I immediately noticed your T-shirt with the pic of my favorite mountain range. LOL As for making your own cakes, mayo, etc. that is much healthier. Using a few ingredients and no preservatives or unnecessary ingredients is so much better for taste. Congrats on getting new choppers! I wish you speedy healing and good health. Yes, plant brassicas in cool temps and you will find they will taste great and won't bolt quickly before maturing. Thanks for all you share with us. We ❤you.

Good luck with your surgery, Lisa. I’ve tried making sourdough; first batch turned pinkish after 6 months, the second batch after 3 months. Not sure what’s going wrong. I’ll try again along with you.

Wow....thx for being transparent with your viewers. We have food for our prayers & you have devoted followers. LORD bless all that you fo to have a better, healthful life as you share it with all of us. I made some big changes in my diet @ age 19 (BC/before Christ) and im sure they helped my mind be more ready to receive the Gospel. Raised my 3 children with the new changes and I'm convinced its helped their lives to be healthier, too. It's 50+ yrs later and i still enjoy trying new recipes from other cultures, etc. Made my 2nd batch of dahl puri (Tobago influenced) and shared it with a native, only a coupke months before her decease. So glad i tried. I have very much enjoyed making things from scratch over all these years. I think it's healthier and easier on the budget, too, in the long run. So thx for sharing all your creative outlets. We are the happy recipients. Love you

I’ll be interested in your bread recipe .. I am a huge fan of fresh bread but don’t make it often .. a single loaf will be just enough! I gave up on sourdough because it’s a chore to keep up with the stages. You have a big lovely smile …Happy healing!
Good luck with your procedure!!! Love the re-name of your channel! I use to make sour dough bread before I became lactose intolerant. It was great bread, but every male that eat it immediately starting having gastric issues. So I don’t make it anymore. Along with being lactose intolerant, I can’t have any foods that are fermented. It is such a bummer. I hope you have a great experience with it!!! I will keep you in my prayers!!!

Other homesteading things I do is grow herbs and make tinctures and lotions and salves! I love them! I can’t wait till you try your first jar of dandelion jelly on toast!

Hello Lisa watching your video later than usual because I'm in the process of packing to move to Tennessee. I'm happy for you and getting your dental work done if this is something that you want and it sounds like it is. I can tell you my sister recently had all her teeth pulled for dentures. It was pretty rough for her but I blame that on her dentist. You mentioned that you are going to be put asleep for the procedure? I think they most likely will have you be in a twilight type of sleep. in You're aware of what's going on around you. But your brain is just like out of it. You won't care too much about what's really going on. even though you're going to be awake. Congratulations on your new channel name I like it It seems to suit you in fit well. Glad your able to be live now.

❤love the name change❤🎉 Try cheeseburger pizza Sauce: MAyo or Mustard. (I eat mayo on a regular burger but absolutely 💯 love using mustard for the pizza) hamburger meat, cheddar cheese and I also put some mozerella, diced onions, diced to.atoes. some put pickle slices but I don't eat pickles on my burger so I leave it off. Make a small personal size and see if you like this. SO DELICIOUS!

I made a cheeseburger pizza the other day, best pizza in my entire life...but I did a traditional pizza sauce...I'll have to look into what you said, that sounds amazing!

Lisa if you ask someone they will give you a sourdough starter. It will be so easy then. It’s easy keep to keep it going. Give it warm filtered water and any kind of flour but no bleached flour. Good luck ! ,

It's not hard. I did it about 2 years ago. You will love your new toofers .
I keep my rye sourdough in a masonjar with a lid in the fridge. Feed it once a week when I bake my breads. Never have issues. Make appointments with your dentist in case you have pressure sores, it is easier to cancel if not needed than have to wait for a free spot if your mouth hurts so bad.

I have had metabolic surgery and am having to learn to eat better and more from scratch so I am with you on buying ingredients and not products & it truly tastes much better and is healthier.

Sour dough is about 5 minutes or less a day, a few minutes an let it sit! You can even dump some into your bread maker and walk away until the lady ride and then throw it into a pan and into the ice. With the light on and let it rise! Easy peesy
My husband got all new uppers and it didn't take long for him to recover at all.

Getting dentures can be painful. However, having an old dental implant removed is something more. You will do well with your new teeth, don't worry. Take care of yourself.

Hello Lisa, that is wonderful news about your new name and internet service. Lance says that is the internet service Elon Musk started and owns. I love the variety of what you are showing. I have started making certain kinds of candies. although I have to limit myself if I am ever going to lose this weight lol. recently, I have been asked to restore a quilt. my first restoration. but I will take my time and do a good job . I need to have dental work done too. and will also end up with a complete full set of teeth, right now I have upper, but my bottom teeth need removed as they are in bad shape from wear of my uppers on them. I have been through it like I said with the uppers, you will be fine, a little sore for a while but you will be glad you did. Prayers for you Lisa.

If the flavour of sourdough is too long for you then don’t sour it as long. Just leave it on the counter to rise and bake the same day. Also, when you feed it just use a teaspoon of the starter and 1/3 to 1/2 cup of flour and water. The flavour is lighter that way. You need to feed a 1-1-1 ratio to make bread but just to feed the smaller amount will help. If your starter smells really bad then it’s too strong. It should have a yeasty smell that isn’t overpowering. It all feels overwhelming at first but I’ve been making whole grain sourdough for over 10 years and it’s easy now. I won’t eat white bread. It’s terrible for you even if it’s home made.
It will give me time to catch up.
You can also pickle broccoli
Lisa, I agree that the smell of the starter for sourdough bread is not pleasant. I love to order it at restaurants or diners, but I never really buy it at the grocery store.

I'm happy for you with the realization of your new life and getting new teeth. I feel you with the teeth problems. I had 4 babies and soft teeth and no insurance for teeth. Are they going to be implants?
