    We did fly this plane with a 2200mah 3s battery the flight time did increase. In the end, we liked the plane better with the smaller battery. It flew fine, just flew better with the smaller battery.

    I started with the UMX Pitts. Liked it so much I moved up to the EFlite 850mm on 4S 2200. This might be my next size!

    I maidened my Pitts today. I ditched the reflex gyro and went with an AR630, Zoar 16X8, Metal gear servos, stock esc, battery mod (used a foam block). No trim needed 10mph wind and flew like a dream with 4000 mah 6S with timer set to 7 minutes. CG was perfect. Very happy with this plane.

    Great review. Can't wait to get mine. It's supposed to be here this week. I'm excited that it uses the 3s 2200 batteries. One thing I can suggest on a safety note. I try not to get used to having my hands and arms in the prop arc when plugging and unplugging the batteries. One turn of that prop can seriously injure you.

    Try aileron, elevator and rudder for a tight turn in SAFE, in fact try them coupled in most aircraft unless you want to drag the tail around.

    5 minute timer?? I have 2 Valiants. One with wheels and the other with floats. On a 3S 2200 I can usually easily get 15 minutes flying at half throttle which seems the most realistic to me.

    So what you are paying for this plane is junk! Having to replace everything makes it an expensive mistake!

  • @makkebull
    @makkebull2 ай бұрын

    That´s absolutely right!The only right thing to do with FMS models is throwing everything out;motor,servo´s and ESC and at the end you have an expensive plane but otherwise sooner or later you will crash it if you keep the original junk they put in.

    2-25-24....I put larger wheels on my Valiant but it still noses over trying to take off on grass. Grass is NOT very long. Is it balance? I see videos of folks easily launching from grass with original wheels and skirts???

    I want this plane but you are right about the speed. I'm not good enough and I can easily see myself losing the plane very fast. I need to look for another glider, I can practise with until I'm ready for this bird. I thought adding weight by using a bigger battery could maybe slow it down, but that would be stupid to go that way haha.

    Hey guys, compliments to you on your new videos they are a lot better than this one! lol… and I just noticed it’s kind of strange the way that airplane flies because I also have one and it flies amazing! it actually almost flies like the RV-8! I am very impressed with it, … shockingly impressed. I did not expect it to perform as good as it does. Just throwing that out there. Sharing the info. Good luck on your new videos.

I think it’s ridiculous that they are not painted for the amount of money I paid for this piece of foam! lol… I know how you guys felt flying this because that’s exactly how I felt when I flew my mamba for the first time! Thanks for the video.

    Good video but the plane flies like crap if you ask me, and it flies just like mine! Which is why I’m here watching videos trying to figure it out. I’ve done everything I can I even reset the entire receiver and all the controls and it still flies like garbage, even after I add weight and remove weight. Next thing I’m gonna try is to add a lot of weights upfront to see if it finally flies well. Today was my fourth flight with it not good. All my other 20 planes fly Amazing….. this one, I can’t get it to fly normal to save my life! 😂 welp… back to the drawing board and thanks for sharing this video. Now I don’t feel so like the only one! lol [edit] added weights to the nose and a 4000 pack all the way forward to make the nose barely tip forward on the CG, and finally! It flies beautiful! so, just sharing the info.

    Like you say it could teach new pilots bad habits. The plane is that rock solid in the air it might lure newcomers into a false sense of security. They fly this really well because the plane flies amazing then spend loads of money on a big petrol powered P51 and expect the same results but it consequently bites them in the arse leaving a bitter aftertaste towards the hobby. But for more experienced flyers this does look like the holy grail of planes I must say. Amazing review guys.

    I just finished doing the exact same mods to mine… except the prop is a 16x8 Xoar. During preflight yesterday (12/2/23), I discovered one aileron servo with a gear issue - partially stripped. Brand new, too; replacement arrives Wednesday.

  • @dsrcplanes

    We replaced servos after the second flight. same issues, stripped plastic gears. It was not worth risking a crash. The plane is good out of the box with exception of the servos. The ESC & Prop mods are just icing on the cake!!
