The first pilot is a better pilot than a cameraman !!!

​@@OSVALDOGUGLIELMI I thought the point of the tight spring was so that the landing gear would have some give if in fact a rough landing occurred. It appears to me that making the landing gear rigid would defeat the purpose - no?

With rigid front landing gear, my Ranger lands perfectly on grass. Before the modify, it was always thumbling

Factory front landing gear is good on hard airstrip. In case of roughness it's intervene well

My FMS 1220mm Ranger came with 2 piece wing that screws in the middle and then has the 2 plastic twist connects. Do you know if the one piece wing is newer or older than the version with the 2 piece wing? I know that no matter what they are both great flyers and amazing trainer planes. I honestly feel anyone with basic rc skills can fly this thing. Its so simple, so smooth, and just such a gentle relaxing plane. Love the videos and thanks for what you guys do. 🙏🏻

I just got mine yesterday and today it's super windy.

Can you get a battery with the same volts and higher miliamps so it will last longer?

We did fly this plane with a 2200mah 3s battery the flight time did increase. In the end, we liked the plane better with the smaller battery. It flew fine, just flew better with the smaller battery.

2200mAh are great and awsome on the cg to

We tried the 2200mah in this plane. It flies really good with the 2200mah, but we did like the 1300mah better.

If you like the ranger, try the arrows Bigfoot. Same plane with flaps. Also a tail dragger with big tires. Been running mine on 4s all year with great performance.

Love this video! Newbie here though but i bought this 1220 ranger, quick question though... Can i use 1350 mah instead? Coz in the box its 1300 mah...

Yes, you can! We have flown up to 2200mah in it. And it flies fine with the larger battery. It just flies better with the smaller one.

Cameraman's skills are beginner as well.

I have this plane but sad to say I’m scared to fly it. Reason is people say you really don’t want to fly with the RTF radio it comes with? Or should I just fly it as is?

We have not flown it with the RTF transmitter. Typically the RTF transmitters are not as good. But with that said, a better transmitter will not make you a better pilot. So if you are just starting out, I am sure the RTF transmitter will work just fine. This is a great beginner plane. Its a joy to fly once you get past the new pilot nerves.

We had the smaller sport cub as a beginner plane. We enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun. Once you get your basic flight maneuvers down, you'll be ready for the ranger. The ranger will have more speed and just bigger in general. Both are excellent beginner planes.

Yes. The plane will except any 1300mah - 2200mah 3s Lipo battery with an XT60 connector. We flew off camera with the 2200mah. It still flies great, the extra weight was noticeable.

I know this is a year old but there are so many better planes to buy in this price range. FMS 1500mm Maule and FMS 1300mm PA-18 Super Cub...
