Hobby King Hawker Hurricane 750mm

One of many 750mm Warbirds sold by H-King. These warbirds are a blast to fly and will not break the bank. We Recommend them as a third or fourth plane.

This and the other models in this series have been around for about 10 years and have been/are sold under well-known Chinese brands. However, I don't know who the actual manufacturer is and it seems to be a secret. In any case, the models are not bad just because they are old. HK added a spinning top to them that tames them. A few years ago you could get them in Germany without a gyroscope for around €70. I find the current price development absurd, with HK still being the cheapest. Currently, HK is offering a 20% off spring sale until 4/24/22, and the hurricanes are also on sale. So you can get them at HK for almost the same price as last year right now. Unfortunately it's too small for retractable gear - you can loop and mount 18g gear, but I would leave it as is and then fly easier without gear. The spare propellers are only a few from HK, but from the other well-known brands, you can get them from China, it takes a long time and the freight cost is high. So why not mount a simple two bladed propeller. Incidentally, replacing the propellers is cumbersome. To do this, you can pull the complete motor unit out of the fuselage by loosening a screw or squeeze the foam directly behind the spinner and try to loosen the screw that holds the spinner with the propeller blades on the motor axis. These are not metric screws but inch threads. This is why the metric Allen keys will not fit and will ruin the screw heads as the screws are glued very tight! You should definitely keep this in mind so as not to raise your blood pressure unnecessarily.

Hi guys its Carsten from airscape. I just got the hurricane from Hobbyking but I have a problem when I fly in high speed. The back of fuselage starts to move up and down (swinging) but the front is stable. Do you have any Ideas about the problem?

If you watch, that exact thing happens in this video. The gyro is setup a little bit to sensitive. Try 1 of 2 things, slow down so it does not do it, or fly with the gyro turned off. On our P-51 we removed the gyro from the plane. We will more than likely do the same with the hawker.
