My late father-in-law was a Col. in the USAF🇺🇲...he was the first American pilot to fly a 100 missions over North Vietnam in an A-1 Skyraider....he flew a total of 325 missions over Southeast Asia/Vietnam War in an A-1...it was a tough beautiful plane...in an ugly kind of way🙂...love your videos

@@PetrincicBrosRC ...my late father-in-law also flew 35 missions as the navigator in a B-17 over Europe towards the end of WW2...he also flew in the Korean War in the early 1950's...not for sure what he flew then, but I figure it was an A-1 Skyraider there...they were used for ground troop support and protection for the recovery of downed pilots...

The Hawker Hurricane was built in my home town of Slough (Langley) in the then county of Buckinghamshire (now Berkshire) in England. Carry on chaps (you're doing a smashing job)!

Very cool tiny planes you can use it as display too. Flying with gyro in fixed wings is a nice to have it can protect your plan in many conditions. I tried one in my 2m warbird it was flying like on tracks.

Hurricane was the workhorse while the spitfire got the press. The Skyraider was a little bigger than the Hurricane. 8 ft longer and 10 more wingspan, so in this scale they are very close. Both look like awesome planes. Waiting impatient for the maidens.

I had one of these a few years ago. I flew it on 3s battery and it was such a nice flying small airplane!!! 👍

Worth it just for a static model, never mind something that will fly! Looks like there will be plenty of spare parts available in November. Blaz, wheels close inwards on the Hurricane and outwards on the Spitfire. If I buy one (and I'm sorely tempted), I'll change to XT30.

The sizes of the plane look scale. Hawker Hurricane: Length - 32.22ft/9.82m , Wingspan - 40ft/12.192m , Douglas A-1 Skyraider: Length - 38.85ft/11.84m , Wingspan 50.25ft/15.32m.

I do not hand toss my 800mm - they all work very well from a well maintained Grass Field - I fly all of them from Grass with wheels - the P51, A1, Tempest - Awesome...

As a comparison the wing span of the Sky Raider was 15.2 mtr so the scale is about right.

Dears, Models are about same size,but not same scale. A1 had 15,2 meters wingspan,being bigger than the Hurricane. However,i prefer the Hurrucane's more elegant lines.

But they are also different size here. A1 is 800mm and Hurricane 750mm.
