    I tend to like what stratus produces when it's a little more structured, bordering on chaos. The randomized notes feel like an overload of sound and a bit too much to connect with. But maybe that's just me.

    Amazing to see Air Lyndhurst as a reverb! Something they said they'd never ever do, so very pleasently surprised! :D I do wish this was also created for Maida Vale Studios, a true timestamp in history which we could all use forever too!

    This is absolutely an incredible piece of tech, creating the ability to have control of not just the plethora of mics AND positions, but also the physical options of the room like the canopy and orientation. However, I'm left with a huge question - is it possible to have multiple inputs? This feels like a direct competitor to MIR, where you place your whole orchestra in the space, but currently this seems like you'd have to set up a separate instance for every instrument/section, rather than feeding each signal into one reverb unit. I can see your CPU usage is hitting something like 5 to 15%, and if you need to use this separately for violins 1, 2, violas, trumpets, flutes, each percussion station etc, this seems like it'll completely consume your processing headroom. I suppose you could try and place stereo fields per section and have one reverb per stem, but then that would loose a lot of the whole point of all the individual control and placement options with the source tab. Also, is this multi-output? With the Canopy mics, this seems like you're possibly making an Atmos capable plugin?? Can we control sending the Ambients out to the rears and Canopy up above?

    Yet another outstanding product! Can't wait to start using it. Combine Spitfire sample libraries and this reverb plugin, and you have as close as you're gonna get to recording real musicians at Air. Of course, if budget is not a concern, it's still better to record live musicians right there in Lyndhurst Hall!

    Thanks for this professional reverb plugin. I have an important question: Is this only for productions of music or is it useful in processing actors’ voices? For example, I am a sound engineer for dubbing films. I need the reverb to be realistic and in many places. For example, in a car, in a commercial store, in a large palace, in the kitchen, in a large, empty agricultural place, or in any other natural reverb of the voice of the dubbers? Thank you ❤❤🎉

    What I really don’t get: how can a impulse response of an EMPTY room mimic the Sound of a room when it is Full of orchestral players. Never ever does a flute Sound the same in this room when it is empty than when the flute is Surrounded by the Rest of the orchestra. 😊

    169 / 5.000 Yes, it would be very interesting to find out in a documented manner how long it takes him to create such masterpieces. A very successful composition and orchestration, Chapeau! And also very inspirativ to write a work like this. ;-) Such works are always created when creative composers allow themselves the necessary seclusion. Of course, it's also an advantage if you're a pianist. I assume that he is. Then it's like composing in a paint box with colors. A bright joy! :-)

    I love the way your hands clench and unclench expressively- instead of waving (to communicate emotional states) opened and closed gestures you provide them as almost microexpressions. Raised in a conservative environment? Somewhere you had to mute your creative passions? 1,001 other things.. Sorry, I’m a composer and behaviour analyst (we usually use video to analyze people because then we do not affect the situation so watching a person on video half my brain is checking for deception and many many other things) But you are awesome

    Oh how I drooled over this! I love his music and that classic Hitchcock sound (which deeeeply influenced the Twilight Zone modernist composers and brought new ideas to the people) so yes the ensembles he used etc yes please! BUT then I missed the sale, had it in my cart went to buy it and it was $500 again… Luckily I had bought many many spitfire products including BBCSO professional and BINGO! To make my own Herrmann toolkit with the BBCSO pro was fun 1) screenshot the instrument combinations on the screen here 2) setup dry signals with a balance of close and tree 3) create a BBCSO template with each of the instrument combos you plan to use (or all of them) using the screenshot and the fact sheets (# of flutes Vs clarinets in “flute, clarinet, xylophone” etc) And there you go! May not be as professionally done as the actual toolkit but if you want his sound in your toolbox and can’t or shouldn’t buy this until on sale and have a full orchestra of some sort- I believe BBCSO pro is the best as the “British sound” is more conducive to the Hitchcock sound than the hyper-epic superhero SO of the USA. *hint, if you have them, add some Zimmer Strings ‘Con Sordino Sur Ponticello Waves’ or similar to place the foreground of studio music in front of a modern yet low intrusion sense of motion. I love this product however and it’s my next buy (after Loegria for those half section strings- further you go the more specific your string demands are. Now with BBCSO, Zimmer strings, Albions, Studio Strings, Chamber Strings -plus MSS and Berlin Strings violins; I STILL need specific strings sometimes)

    It's Spitfire. They've always been pricey. But a lot of their libaries do have an unmistakeable sound. I remember paying $530.48 (it was in british pound sterling so made it even pricier when converted to USD than it should have been) for Albion Loegria back in 2013

    Sounds great but multi channel instrument feed into the reverb is missing like Vienna MIR has. If you want to use this for a whole orchestra you need to setup 20 Aux channels with 20 Reverb instances, not sure if the CPU likes that. In MIR you need just one reverb. But actually the Spitfire seems to sound better and I already have so many libraries recorded in Air so it would be cool if a multi instrument feed will come.

  • @rustyshaffer
    @rustyshaffer2 күн бұрын

    To equip (and place) a full orchestra obviously at least one plugin instance per instrument group (flutes, oboes, horns,...) is required. Adding up to 15 or more instances! Thus my primary question would be how demanding CPU-wise the plugin is.

  • @paopis

    @@fausto_colella It is not a limitation per se. This is targeted to people that have their libraries recorded at air studios and want to integrate other instruments (or even their voice, or a guitar) in the same room. So, having one room meticulously sampled, rather than many places with standard sampling is a feature, rather than a limitation. It is just that it is not targeted to anyone, but specifically (or mostly) to their segment of customers.

    The price is ridiculous. Especially for owners (like me) of 50% of all Spitfire Libraries. It looks to be in beta state too, with not efficient CPU load. Spitfire is monetizing everything to insane extent. Originally the prices of Spitfire libraries were to compensate the original players for the libraries.

  • @zaharishtonov
    @zaharishtonovКүн бұрын

    Nothing wrong with the price. Obviously you have not looked into what high quality reverbs cost. The hardware used to cost tens of thousands of dollars (Lexicon 960L at around $40’000, TC6000 about $25’000 without additional options). Now you take the leading products such as the inventors of the convolution technology Audioease’s Altiverb, their light product costs $500 and the full version is a $1000. VSL’s MIR Pro 3D you pay around $700 for just the engine and you pay additionally at various prices for their impulse response packages. I am not going to argue about the product being still in beta stage. I am sure it’s been probably done that way, judging by what the state of most of Spitfire products has been at release day for the last few years. Many companies do that and there are always bug fixes for any software.
