Essentia Foundation

Welcome to the KZread channel of Essentia foundation. Essentia Foundation is an information hub that aims at communicating the latest analytic and scientific indications that metaphysical materialism is fundamentally flawed. Our community of authors, including Bernardo Kastrup, lists a growing number of academics, scholars, philosophers, scientists and authors whose works are opening the way for a new, more functional and true understanding of ourselves and reality at large. By closing the communication gap Essentia Foundation hopes to communicate new evidence of metaphysical idealism to human culture at large.
And this is what our KZread channel is perfectly suited to do. By posting interviews, discussions, lectures, informational video’s and other short formats we hope to share new developments in the quest to understand reality. Do you also wonder whether we actually live in a physical universe? Then be sure to check out our video’s and subscribe to our channel.

As a academic, materialist once I saw a telekinesis test, As I did it, I succesfuly moved a paper. As I couldn't believe the metaphysics, I tried one month every night do tests to prove that was not me and for example air or heat... But my power got more and more. Now since 10 years I am learning quantum physic, spirituality, meditation and more. Telekinesis was the key for me to enter this phenomenal world.

I am not sure how much belief in God matters, to me, it is a poor substitute for knowing. Those who don't know can only believe and that isn't knowing, not even close enough to weigh anything. Belief is a big zero.... nothing. I don't even want to hear what someone believes, it is meaningless except to them alone.Tell me what you know or don't know...

Dear Hans, I would like to invite you to a thought experiment that may have a real background: Suppose that I, the persona who is writing this text, had various qualities that Jeffrey would describe as superhuman. Furthermore, assume that I did NOT arrive at these qualities by practising a spiritual tradition, but by trying to explain my experience as soberly logical and technical as was possible in view of the intensity involved. Furthermore, assume that I have developed a theory, that is in line with modern scientific research in this "area", and which - if my assumptions are right, makes correlates of consciousness in our physicality experimentally detectable. Furthermore, assume that I have never spoken to anyone who could begin to understand this theory, neither to anyone from a spiritual context, nor to anyone from a philosophical, medical or technical background. Would you be interested in talking to such a person? Marco

I really liked this conversation, but when he gets to the issue of ontic paradoxes in physics, it's not accurate to say that light IS a particle and a wave, simultaneously, in any meaningful sense. No physicist would tell you that's the right way of thinking about it or describing it, Dr. Schipper is a little bit out of his wheelhouse on that point. A photon is an excitation of a field which seems to sometimes behave in the way you'd expect a particle to and sometimes in the way you'd expect a wave to, under predictable circumstances. A photon never ever ever does something in a way that is partly how a wave would do it, and partly how a particle would do it, at the same time. That's why it's called "wave-particle DUALITY" and not "wave-particle paradoxical unity" or whatever other terminology. So I think that's an important distinction to make, because current understanding of QM still totally allows for pilot wave/hidden variable theories. There's no necessity of accepting that the photon behaves "paradoxically" because of some paradoxical quality fundamental to itself. To me, pilot wave fits even better with the Kabbalah, because the pilot wave would be Keter. It's "real" and "imminent", but yet is behind a veil (the variables are "hidden") and cannot be observed directly. Its existence can only be known of indirectly by the influence that it has on existence. Further, the theory has a clear explanation and mechanism for how actions in the material world feed back and affect the pilot wave, in the same way Kaballah outlines how actions can actually affect the spiritual world above, it's not a one way street. On the other hand, if you go along with the Copenhagen interpretation, like Dr. Schipper seems to by accepting that photons themselves are somehow fundamentally paradoxical, you've got an issue... You cannot avoid having to accept either A) fundamental randomness in the universe or B) the many worlds interpretation. Neither of these options, to me, align with Kabbalistic teaching whatsoever. The Kabbalah absolutely holds that there is no randomness, so that one is out. And many worlds directly goes against the Kabbalah by invalidating choice, and thereby invalidating the possibility of affecting the spiritual realm and doing Tikkun. If every possible path is followed in some branch of the universe, and all of those paths "affect" God (who must be undivided, not branching), then by necessity NONE of the paths affect God, because they all were always going to happen. Nothing that happens on any branch can possibly affect what WILL happen, because every possibility is going to happen in some branch, regardless.

I also know that these conversations are a lot of mental abstraction, which is generally less interesting to women, so I enjoyed this conversation talking about the masculine/feminine.

No. What is real to a person can be anything he believes. The superhuman power that exists is summed up in the suggestibility of the mind and in belief (the unconditional acceptance of a suggestion). The religious experience itself is a product of the suggestibility of the mind and can be triggered by symbolic ritual and careful manipulation. It appears to be a common state that we can attain. It is real because the mind defines the internal picture. What is real is suggestion which is all around us. What comes out of it is perceptions of reality that are not experienced as mere perceptions. People who see ghosts do actually see ghosts. People who see UFOS do actually see them. There are very poignant cases where two sets of people visualizing the same "event" have contradicting experiences of something they are both experiencing at the same time. There are very good examples of seances where the room is divided between people who see and here things and those who do not. The line in the sand is the suggestibility if the human mind. High suggestibility equates to high malleability. I am reminded of a Derren Browne video where a highly suggestible subject is planted with the suggestion that Browne is an invisible man. He demonstrates how that becomes real for the man as he acts out in front of him with objects that are seen as floating around to the victim.

I admit.. 46 years old and never raised religiously. I want to believe in a creator. An all knowing all loving creator. But in my opinion, there is a lot of judgement and murder in the bible. It seems to me God has his people slay others all the time... Murder in the name of God.. That seems very hypocritical to me. To me, it seems God has a split personality. God is both all loving and satan combined. Left and right side of the brain. If man was created in his image, we sure are far from perfect in our own behavior. The idea God would create us out of love then cast us to hell for having doubt seems the furthest from forgiveness. God may just be using us to educate himself. Which, in my opinion, is not very nice to us. I am torn. If God is real, he should know I am torn. He should understand why too.

Phenomenal content guys. Thank you! Here's something that confuses me when comparing the way the 'idealist universe' is described in this video and the previous one - "10K subscribers! A Q&A with Bernardo Kastrup". If I understood correctly, Bernardo posits that the universe is computationally irreducible, and thus cannot know "itself" until it "plays itself out" by observing itself as it moves along the passage of time through the eyes of the collective mind / consciousness. How can this type of "self-experiencing" and "self-learning" universe that seems to come into being through the act of self-observation be reconciled for the idea of a 'timeless' or 'block' universe as it was described in the previous video - where phenomena like premonition / precognition are possible, because 'mind at large' seemingly exists and has access to all present, past and FUTURE states from a timeless (and presumably all-knowing) perspective? Perhaps I misunderstood the nature of one of these universes? Or does the process of universal evolution through "self-experience" not follow follow a timeline in the conventional sense of the word?

This is very exciting indeed. I get it immediately. What I did not get is: What caused the first dissociation in the cosmic conciousness? Dissociation, as far as I understand it, is caused by an unpleasant experience. How could the hermetically closed cosmic mind have an unpleasant experience? I can't mail Dr. Kastrup to ask. He too famous to be approached. Anyone?
