These 12 lucidly presented videos were a revelation. I think I'm getting a grasp on analytic idealism, and I'm eager to learn more. Who would've thought that Bishop Berkeley was on the right track?

Consciousness is fundamental, we actually live in our minds, reality is merely an illusion.

Evolution indeed does promote truth. You're embarrassingly wrong right at the opening.

I'm not a big fan of ppl who turning everything upside down, like by saying consiousness is fundamental and the "physical" world is secondary or derived/emergend, rather than the other way around. Bernardo is not the first or only one who does that, but still I personally think it's the wrong way to do epistemology.

There is no “physical world” it is objective but mental, not physical. The wrong way to do epistemology is through postulating an unknowable physical world and attempting, and failing, to derive consciousness from that.

@@philosophicast2122 Yes, yes, I know, I know. There is no egg. The egg is inside the chicken's consious experience. Just don't ask where the chicken came from and everything is alright...

@@Paxsali Do not conflate solipsism with idealism. I am not denying the existence of an external objective world, I am only disputing that the metaphysical nature of this world is material. what is there to an egg but it's subjective qualities? take them away and you have no egg at all.

@@philosophicast2122 You say that as if it is a reasonable thing to say or even self-evident. I disagree with this whole premise all together. What there is to an egg is it's objective qualities, period. And those don't dissappear when you take the "subjective qualities" away (whatever that even means!). Also, a bee will perceive the very same egg differently than a snake, than a human, than a mantis shrimp and so forth. Each of these individual animals have a different consiousness and yet an egg is an egg. If one was to turn the whole thing on the head by saying consiousness comes first (just because they say "it's the only thing we can be sure of"), then the question arises ... which consiousness did you chose to explain the one objective external world that exists and we all live in?

@@Paxsali "which consiousness did you chose to explain the one objective external world that exists and we all live in?" Under idealism, consciousness is not plural.
