My channel will show you all the techniques and equipment used for mushroom farming for profit! I started Myers Mushrooms growing gourmet oyster mushrooms in my garage at home. I've since built a 2400 sq/ft mushroom warehouse with a dedicated autoclave and spawn lab. We also are Unicon Bags largest re seller of grow bags.

How are you protecting your lungs from all the fumes created with cleaning products?
@curtislam4725 its just dawn and water, a bit of acid sanitizer. With oxine and chlorine which we use sparingly we can don our organic vapors respirators.
Wow ,I'm just starting out with my grow bags and this is a bit overwhelming to me but beautiful work ❤️
If last of us ever happens i know where it came from
I know this is a year old, but I am so glad to see you using the 440. I just bought one.
@RetroWolf934 I had one burn out but they replaced it. Other then that they crank.
Nice ,thank you! I had success with lime bathes for shredded straw before, it is very interesting to see this work with sawdust as well. Do you dissolve the lime in water beforehand or do you add it dry straight into the mix ?
@clmrlv3291 all dry into the mix. You'll want to start adding your water then add the lime so it wets in quickly and doesn't just kick up dust.
Thanks for sharing!!
Have you tried this with Phoenix oyster?
@familyfungi no but that would be a good candidate
Love watching these while remembering the one car garage setup years ago! Way to go man!
One car life was rough lol, had to lug everything through the house from the back patio.
Right!! I'm a one car garage set up in Alaska right now.
Sweet!
Really?????
Works every time! We already flushed these out the part 2 I posted a few weeks ago I just never launched this video till now. We maybe lost 4-6 bags and they were likely the last few bags out the mixer where we were brushing the tub out and there wasn't much spawn.
Why heat the Alcohol up at all other then to move it to the product ? It cold going in to the product. Heating just brings it back up to where it bypasses product hot until cooled back to liquid then touches product for 1st time...soaks..drips....boils....gas....cooled...product.... Drips etc. Why not just soak it 24hrs..press change to fresh product. Soak...w same alcohol as 1st...as many times as needed to concentrate as normal?? If ya wanna boil the concentrate and weed off some alcohol do it...for stronger concentration. Watching this on anyone's channel is the same... Heated alcohol is just how to move the alcohol through...because doesn't touch Sharon's until cooled to liquid again. Looms really cool makes someone feel smart maybe, but anyone explain what's different or better buying glass and doing this over soaking in /presses?!
Hey buddy! I watched this and purchased the ROI-E200 (veg). I’m wondering if you can grow full sized plants (3-5 feet) under these as well. I have 4 mature plants in a 2x4 tent using those lights along with 10-15 seedlings
WHat about, licenseses, health certificate, bank account, fictious name? Can you explain all of this seem no one ever mentions it.
Most states don't require a license, not until you deal with processing the mushrooms. Bank accounts are free and credit cards want to literally give you money and a huge line of credit more then you'd ever normally get. File your company with your state, like $100.
@@MyersMushroomsFarms what does that mean, "processing" the mushrooms. Are you saying that in general you do not need any license or health certificate to sell to resaurants or at fleamarkets?
@user-xb1ht4py2v it's not until you get to distribution level that you might be required MGAP, GAP, Organic for fresh produce. On the processing, chopped, canned, dried, extracted and any processed goods all needs licenses and process approval. We have a USDA/FDA inspected processing facility so we can legally ship out of state and country even.
@@MyersMushroomsFarms Thanks that helps.
I love how I started following you when you were just in your garage and now look at you
Hi! I notice you mix water and ethanol in one extraction, whereas ive been doing an alchohol extraction and then a water extraction separately and then mix i the final products....can i just mix the water and ethanol together in one run rathet thsn doing them separately? Would save me a lot of time!!
What kind of shoots are those?
Mso 15?
Awesome stuff! Do you reuse your tea bags?
what brand lime do you use? all of my attempts resulted in little colonization and no fruits
We use our elm Oyster and hi yield lime
Hell of a collection. Thanks for sharing.
hey man! do you sell cuts on reddit when you have time? Would definitely buy seeds too. gorgeous collection. the grafted TPM is insane!
I have a link in the description for where I have them listed. The mystery boxes are an assortment of trichos. If you're looking for something specific, you can text us at 202-557-6050
Good lord man, you do it all! I've got a tiny trich and loph collection compaired to your beautiful gardensome -@westcoast_mycology
Impressive collection! i have a small greenhouse full of trich and blue candles but growing in the north is not so productive
Bro what's up/legit/Yes Sir
How long would it take to grow these?
Gonna have some mold if you don't get some air movers on it
So sick! My boiling flask just cracked. I'm thinking it was from the condensate caused by my condenser. Any tips on how keep cold water dripping onto my boiling flask?
Mylar bubble Insulation on the condenser, foam tubing Insulation on your hoses. Are you pulling vacuum on it? Could also be from rough handling and you put a stress crack into it that then got bigger with heat cycles.
Can i grow this in newzealand?
How long dose it take to grow and how many cycles can you get through one bag??
Please stop spreading the misinformation about “Elm Oysters” what you have there are not real Elm Oysters, the true Elm Oyster species is Hypsizygus ulmarius. These are a Pleurotus species that you are showing in your video. I’ve seen people try to correct it by calling them “Popham Elm Oysters” This misinformation has been spread for years and needs to be fixed.
wow
Bummer. If that controller doesn't have persistent memory maybe you could add some kind of latching circuit to cut power if it gets interrupted or a little ups for the low power side of the circuit.
Whazaap. I grow lions mane in Brasil. I noticed you don't fold your bag, doesn't top fruit because of the air on the top of the substract inside the bag?
Just questioning why you wouldn't shut the control boards off every time after you unload a batch?
Because they are on dirty bagging side and you'd have to run around the path you watched me walk to switch em.
Always something! Lol. This same thing happened to us last month. I was so mad at PG&E. haha
does the constant boiling not harm the end product
Just had a fault in our 150L imported autoclave. One of the three burners now stays ON permanently. We blew the over-pressure value and SOAKED the lab. What a mess. So, don't feel bad, even engineered autoclaves can go sideways HARD. IF we had a float valve and endless/permanent water supply, instead of a tank of water in "a cheap chinese autoclave", we'd could have wrecked the entire building!
Cheap non UL listed non ASME inspected lol. Glad it didn't catch fire.
Do you sterilize grain in bubba barrels?
Good to know!
I just got a bag of grain spawn from you and 2 days after a g2g to a few other grain bags 2 days ago and they're already almost fully colonized. Excellent strain thanks 👍
1:20 what kind of cart is that near your reach-in? We moved our HVAC out of the lab and put the unit in a pre-con room above it ducted through a HEPA positive pressure unit to avoid contamination/condensation inside
Uline aluminum U boat trucks. We use them for fulfillment. Load them up with spawn to ship then roll it out for UPS/USPS.
If you run a ducted mini split like I am, you can just duct it into the intake. But as the airflow is now, it all flows across the ceiling and gets sucked into the FFUs. It's amazing what airflow currents do even without ducting. Our contamination rate is sub 0.1% on sawdust lab.
Wow Myers Mushrooms is so thorough they steam sterilize their entire facility 😅
FML lol yeah pretty much almost there.
Good catch!
Murphy's law
On the daily it seems lol
When it rains, it's pours. Had my thermal probe give on me today. Luckily, it was the 1st two hours, and a new one stand by. Totally feel ur pain
No discount code???
don't be cheap
@@gonzo_vino These "BOXES aren't CHEAP $1,589.00 So just lend us the moneys? Yeah that's it...... Unless you're opening a mushroom business these aren't totally needed. I support Myers but NOT with $1,589.00 worth of my life's earnings because it's not needed for me. I would def buy one if I had 3K$ (shipping)
Beautiful. I love mushrooms ❤
Are the water crystals considered food grade? They need to be if we're using them on mushrooms we consume. Nice video. The bags will be great for my Antler Reishi
So none of our substrate is food grade, it's feed grade and fuel pellets. I looked into the product and it's safe for consumption if you ever did, it would just pass through you it's basically inert. None of these mushrooms will be eaten though, only dried and extracted.
Awesome!!! They look amazing.
They better for $1,589.00
Nice flow box. Where is the hood by the way?
If your looking for an enclosure we sell them with an optional plexy enclosure but they are absolutely not needed for operation
Do you sell your files? I’m building a LVL1 from Apogee now, but I also have a 3D printer and would LOVE to build one of these!
