Great video, I appreciate that you share it. Thank you.
Well done Gentlemen. Simple yet succinct explanation!
Wow, thank you. I have watched so many videos on CSDM that never explain what the hell it is. This was to the point and explained perfectly. Bonus, I love how you guys are outside! Cheers
Very nicely explained
CSDM isn’t entirely prescriptive, it’s based on the customer needs and requirements. But good quick intro guys🚀
This was fantastic, so well explained. Diagrams were excellent.

Excellent video. I will definitely point this one out to customers as a great primer to understand.
Nice presentation, One query on the slide "How to the roles interact", What is the Business Stakeholders discuss with the CMDB process owner
Thank you for sharing, implementing CSDM with the already implemented and customised CMDB is really difficult. Your video helped me in getting the right direction and how we should focus on outcome based approach rather than building product models that people usually follow. Good one!
Thank you! I always learn something new and useful from your videos.
Great overview - focus on the outcomes!
Excellent and simple definition for CSDM
The video really helped me to understand the CSDM. Thanks a lot :)
Never expected that one day, some Bosnians in the mountains will explain CSDM to me. Thank you very much 😀
Very nicely articulated, as always.
Great content. Thanks!
fun & clear ;)

This is an absolutely fabulous video about ServiceNow ITOM Event Management (Health) and how to implement. well done!
Excellent content, congrats!
Je pars à Lacanau? Ah bon
Oui, c’est chouette là-bas! ☺️
As always .. good clarity in concepts with visuals. 👍 Keep rocking guys 🎉
Great job in breaking down CSDM in 10 minutes. Not a simple task!
Great Video, greetings to the whole Team!
Great examples. On the slide "A Simplified Overview" of Confluence wiki, which table classes would you use for Service and Application Service?
Hi, you can find the CSDM to CMDB mapping right here: docs.servicenow.com/bundle/sandiego-servicenow-platform/page/product/csdm-implementation/concept/csdm-to-cmdb-mapping.html
Thank you for this amazing video
How to run a powershell script from check definition to pull the machine data in service now?
Thank you man

Great understanding on ACC, thanks for showing all details using lab. Prost! Danke..
I want support for itom discovery admin
These are the best dressed ServiceNow guys on KZread. Full stop. Ha.
One of the best Service Mapping video of ServiceNow.
Educating the customer is one of the most tedious task of service mapping 😭
can this be also useful for servicemapping aswell ?
Hey! Yes, definitely! Unless you couple it with JEA... JEA has some restrictions, but gMSA alone does not inhibit any of Discovery's functionality.
@@einarpartners7707 Thanks for the quick reply
hey will this discovery helps in brininging all the fields that can be used or limited to only few fields ?
Hey! You still have full Discovery functionality when using gMSA.
This is a really interesting candidate to replace the SCCM integration. Since we have ITOM visibility and will be retiring SCCM from our environment in the near future, we have been looking for agent based alternatives. This seems like a good fit. However Agentless Discovery and the SCCM integrations work with both PROD and DEV instances of ServiceNow. From what you have shown, it seems that ACC clinet would only be able to point to one MID server (e.g. PROD) so testing changes in DEV will prove more complicated. Have I understood this correctly?
Hi, thanks for your great questions. Yes, you are 100% spot on! The ACC can be configured with a list of multiple MID Servers, however this is only for fail-over purposes. Meaning, if the first MID Server on the list fails to connect, then the ACC will try the next one on the list. You can find all these details in the acc.yml.example file that is provided with every ACC installation.
@@einarpartners7707 I suppose it may be possible to install more than one ACC on the same client machine?
Great topic and in such short time, we get that idea how we relate the discovery and security. Thanks!
Its a great Master class to kick start the ITOM roadmap. We know that its difficult to cover all topics in single video. will see more and more from you in future. The CSDM concept was also cleared in simple language and with best example. Thanks a ton!
There's no such thing as an "Application Service". A software application can be part of a Business Service or a Technical Service.
Hi Edward, thanks for your input. This is indeed a valid interpretation. However, please note that during our classes we're using the standard CSDM model (data-model) from ServiceNow, of which "Application Services" is a terminology and widely established concept. If that is an appropriate definition or not, is another (interesting) debate. Hope this gives you some perspective/insight into our choice of referring to "Application Services".
Business Services can be (software) Application Services.
👏🏽
Great Video! Very Well Done Alex! And your Vest is awesome, too :D
Thanks! 😃
It's not clear to me if the latest ACC-V runs discovery patterns. If not, it can't return the same results as agentless horizontal discovery.
Hi Jim, Great observation! Indeed, we can already confirm that ACC-V does not run and support discovery patterns - at least not for now. The underlying technology is inherently different, and it remains to be seen what this means, especially also for Service Mapping, in future releases. That said, this Thursday, we will release an ACC-V hands-on video; maybe it will give an answer to your questions - We hope to see you there!
