There is no information as to WHY people do not live „in the red”! Just „people are emigrating” „people prefer to live in their region”, „immigration has positive and negative impact” etc etc. While the question is valid and worthy, the author(s) took the „click bait” rout. As an American European I am Irish but live in Europe now and that is the problem with Europe most people live in the major cities, and most of the country is empty but the government does not do anything because the people don't care because it seems like in Europe most people just like to party and be in a bliss like a horse with blinkers on. I am seeing more and more videos that say this about X European country
My family visited Portugal in 2022 and had a wonderful time in Lisbon and Porto. We enjoyed riding the train from Lisbon to Porto and seeing the art and architecture of both cites. It would be fun to return and visit the more rural areas and perhaps stay a bit longer.

i am Portuguese lived near a Serra da Estrela and it was not an issue, also lived in other places through portugal, not sure where this information is coming from, i also think its missing a lot of villages with all one needs, shop, doctor, school etc in many of the places you say there's no people or transport...I'm a bit confused...

I would suggest the author to look back at this video and redo it. There are *quite* a few mistakes. Not just in the content itself, but how it's presented. An obvious example, the narrator is talking about the landscape in the interior of Portugal while showing a stock video of Madeira, a Portuguese ISLAND. It's located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, *far* away from the interior of Portugal. That's just one of the few things that is incorrect about this video. I'm sure some things are right about it, but it does not represent reality, unfortunately.
