Istanbul hasn't been the Capital city since the fall of the Ottoman Empire, it was moved to Ankara after WWI

The leaders of the Union and Progress Committee were freed from baseless accusations of ill-treatment of Armenians and mass slaughter of them, and were cleared of allegations related to these issues. The British Attorney General also stated that it was wrong to hold an "Istanbul-style trial" and that real evidence and witnesses were needed for the trial. Arrested state officials, military personnel, intellectuals, journalists, writers, politicians, and religious figures were released. As a result, it became clear that there is no crime to be tried in relation to the claims of Armenian genocide. Moreover, the book "Predictions of the Destruction of the Turks and the Increase of Christians" published in London in 1865 by the Englishmen Henry Harcourt and Hyde Clark, who conducted the trial, legitimized the anti-Turkish policy. .

The southern-most part of Turkey has a similar latitude to some parts of the US where I've lived, so I've always imagined that the country would have a similarly temperate climate with 4 seasons.

Western and southern part of Turkey has Mediterranean climate which is the similar pleasant mild climate such as California cities like san jose, sacramento, santa rosa. But we don’t have brutal heat waves that causes forest fire

This what westerns say when they lose, and you are hero when you win. Right? It is not genocide since it was invaded by western countries and armed Armenian groups against Turks. These armed groups killed tens of thousands of Turks in Anatolia in the hope to be independent, the hope given by the west to Armenians. On the other hand, i must inform you truely and correct about your comment on the 1915 events between Ottoman and Armenian citizens of Ottoman Empire. You named the dispute between the state and its citizens as the compulsary resettlement and 'genocide'. Yes, in terms of the conditions of WW1, Ottoman state applied a resettlement policy for its citizens with Armenian heritage in Eastern province, yet we cannot call this as so called genocide. Because, there is no historic or social evidence of a systematic annihilation policy of the state against Armenian citizens. Because of the resettlement, the citizens with Armenian heritage moved out of the eastern part of the coumtry, but they didn't moved towards the direction of modern day Armenia as you poimted out in the video. Rather, they moved towards today's Syria and Iraq and they were given land and opportunities to settle in peace. Besides, if there were a systematic annihilation policy against citizens with Armenian heritage, the Ottoman state shouldn't have kept a major population of Armenian citizens living in İstanbul, the capital and the most important city of the Ottoman Empire. The majority of the citizens with Armenian heritage of the Empire were living in İstanbul those days, and the Armenian Ptriarchal Churches (Apostolic, Catholic, and Evangelical) were established in İstanbul. There were no attrocities carried out by the state towards them Just because of their national or religious heritage. There is still a big and thrivimg community of citizens with Armenian heritage living in İstanbul, and their all cultural and religious rights are given and under the guatantee of Turkish Republic. So called 'Armenian Genocide' is a lie and slander against not only Turkish People but also Armenian People living together in this country, side by side and sharing a common destiny. Türkiye is compact country and there are very good highway and road systems between all of the cities, in addition very actively developing high speed railway systems. Who lives at coastal areas they have houses at central and east Anatolia as well , Many people living at central or eastern areas they have houses at coastal areas also. Whenever they like they are going and coming wherever necessary. For example now From İstanbul to Sivas approximately more than 1000 km possible to go within four hours. At central Anatolia and East Anatolia there is no fresh water deficits. Even Turks living in Europe they have houses at all the areas and whenever possible they are coming to their houses especially during the summer. There is no limitations for Turkish citizens moving in country and owing property as they wish. Capital of Turkey Ankara. Till WW1 there was 1.2 million Armenians in Turkey. According to Russian registrations approximately 400 thousand immigrants went to Russia, at least such numbers of immigrants to France . There is no logic in your vlog.
