of course the most fertile land in the world is in Indonesia because it is already a tropical region which is very rich in rain and the soil is volcanic and there are lots of mountains that can catch rainwater and if we look again from Indonesia the most fertile region is Java because of the concentration of volcanoes the highest in the world and I'm grateful from Java because all the plants in the world can grow here even if we plant a tree we only have to break a little branch and stick it into the ground and don't need to be covered with water and don't need fertilizer it's very indulgent and now is the biggest problem

Also it has empty spaces of National parks 🏞 & reserves. Mountains 🏔 & green forest etc. I’ve been all over Java only cities are mostly crowded butrest not. Most population in Java concentrated in Urban area like Jabodetabek (Jakarta and their Satellite city : Bogor Depok Tangerang Bekasi) about 30million residents, make them as 2nd most populous urban area in the World after Tokyo. Because Jakarta has good infrastructure since Dutch colonialize the country, and make them as trade and financial center in Indonesia. And many people come from other Island to find a job in here Since Independent in 1945, Many people outside the Java mostly envy because the development of construction was concentrated in Java. Luckily, nowadays, with the President of Mr Joko Widodo, the development for the other island outside Java are massive. One of them, to relocate capital city from Jakarta to Nusantara (Borneo) to make more equal between island, and erase the stigma 'Indonesia is only Java' . Build massive toll road in Sumatra, railway in Sulawesi, and road in Papua, and make new airport in many smaller island for better connectivity and transportation.

The VOC and the Dutch built infrastructure and cities on the island of Java very rapidly and modernly during the colonial era compared to other islands. So automatically the island of Java has become an attraction for urbanists to settle down and consequently become overpopulated. You know the consequences that arise from cities that are over populated are congestion in transportation, mental health in the community due to stress due to traffic jams, as well as air pollution due to exhaust fumes from vehicles. Material loss due to traffic jam. Like it or not, the current government has to find a way out of the over populated situation by moving the capital city to the island of Kalimantan.

You need to observe what kind of Islam practiced here, the Shafi'i madhab/sect, that distributed along Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and South East Asia. The center is Egypt, then to Hijjaz, Yemen, Kerala coast then South East Asia Islands. All follow Shafi'i sect. India and China are of Hanafi sect except for Kerala coast which predominantly of Shafi'i sect. Java is not stragetic, the most strategic island is Sumatra but neglected by Indonesian Javan centric government. It's their negligence though to let Malaysia and Singapore to take advantage of Malacca strait while Indonesia don't have any big port city overthere😂. Indonesian government are Javan centric (both ethnic and island) and don't care to take advantage of strategic trade line at Malacca strait and South China Sea. If you say that Java island was strategic during colonial era that's will be correct because its on the way to Spice Islands/Maluku. But nowadays Sumatra and Riau Islands are more strategic. I went to Batam a town just across Singapore straits and found that the living cost here are more higher than all other Indonesia's provinces. But feel strange because no big port build to challenge Singapore and Malaysia's Johor ports. The prosperity were come from tourism sector only. Many Javanese also come to work in Riau Islands which living cost and standard are comparable to Malaysia.

As an Australian I find it absolutely amazing that we (Australians) seem to ignore this giant behemoth of a country to our immediate north. Aside from Bali, most of Indonesia goes unnoticed by Australian people and we know far more about Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Taiwan and Japan than we do about Indonesia. Yet Indonesia is growing rapidly, and is right on our doorstep. We cannot ignore her any longer. As China flexes its muscles in Southeast Asia and the Pacific, we find ourselves on the same side geopolitically! Aussies cheered when Indonesia defended it's islands in the Raiu Archipelago by standing up to incursions by China, making China back down and retreat with it's tail between it's legs. I look forward to a day when Indonesia and Australia can work more closely together in both defense and trade and we can stop pretending Indonesia is somehow irrelevant in our future.

AUKUS alliance won't end well for it just like how ABDA failed miserably in containing Imperial Japan.
