I knew that at least an Indonesian would say that because it's common for Indonesians to apply other races' physical looks on themselves to make them sound/look slightly better than the mainstream population. When I was in Indonesia some years ago, I noticed multiple Japanese companies' manufacturing facilities. Japan has invested a lot in Indonesian industry, creating a lot of jobs, it seems. So, it seems like there is a thriving economic relationship between the two countries -- aside from cultural or political affinities.

(i’m indonesian) idk if it’s weird to say this but hearing people saying they don’t like india is kinda sad ngl. because so many of my friends are that way, they only know india for the dirtiness, how crowded it is, and the stereotypes they see online. those people (my friends) don’t know how huge and diverse india is and they only know india as the stereotypes - they don’t know how the people actually are. and they tend to hate on the whole country without knowing what the country is like. saying this from my experience; indians are so nice

Here in Australia the media tries hard to ignore Indonesia unless talking about Bali, Papua or Aceh. Any time Indonesian government tries to improve Papua the news here pretends it's a war crime. And look at how Aussies act in Bali treating it like it's a giant frathouse. They call Aceh a backwards place with bad morals. They don't mention Java at all, which is unusual because they are our neighbour and we can maintain good economic ties. Many Australians believe that Asian countries ban us from owning foreign land, but those Asians buy land freely in Australia. We get very angry about this.

I have been to Indonesia before and Indonesia is very dirty too in some areas, more dirty then some areas in India. Also they never see the clean, modern, beautiful sides of India, they are obssesed with only 1 side and make it into a propaganda. First, get it cleaned. I saw many times people excrete in open. Public toilets are not maintained. They stink a lot. The cleanliness drive started by PM MODI is good. But still a long way to go. And please stop religious fanaticism and rape culture. India has been tagged as one of the most unsafe country in the world for women. In every 20 minute a girl is raped there.

I have been visiting many countries, including singapore, malaysia, thailand, japan, taiwan, australia, saudi arabia, france, belgium, holland, and of course USA. I don't hate USA (i visited it several times nonetheless), but it was really scarry to walk on the street in USA.

I've been at 3:17 before, at the EXACT same month this was uploaded (Probs was recorded a while ago because of editing and stuff, but still.)

Israel is an obvious choice in any islamic country, however seeing India as second most hated(although with a very limited sample size) leaves question on Indian soft power. Indian diplomatic missions and cultural missions like ICCR seem more active in western countries and not that much in it's own backyard. It can be debatable but in subconscious reason of India being second will definitely be propoganda of Wahabi prechears against India,who are gaining prominence in Indonesia too. Probably most Indonesians don't know that India is the only non islamic country having such big Muslim population which has rose from 7.5 % at the time of indipendence to almost 15 % now. Infact by 2030 India will have the biggest Muslim population in the world surpassing even Indonesia. Besides India host second largest number of mosques in the whole world, not to mention numerous sufi shrines and historic mosques here. It's our failure that we are not able to publicise these records to Islamic world. From sharing a similar Hindu -Biddhist past, both of countries share a lot of cultural traits. Indian foreign mission should treat it as an opportunity to improve it's image in Southeast Asia.
