And really sad it’s gone .
It was a great video learned a lot but, it sure would have been much better if we could have heard the aircraft fly instead of that annoying music.
The Japanese plane that participated in World War II is the Mitsubishi A6M Zero, also known as the "Zeke" by Allied intelligence². They were designed by the famous aircraft designer Jiro Horikoshi. The aircraft was exceptionally fast and agile, allowing Japanese pilots to outperform older Allied aircraft, and had a long range suitable for the Pacific theater of operations².🇮🇶🌹🙏🇯🇵
Now imagine 40 22 years old flying these into combat
My great uncle flew the Sabre during the Korean War. Stationed at K-13 (suwon air base)
Born 1960 WW 2 was still fresh on everyone's minds, as a kid listening to the adults talk about japz and krauts, the economy was booming thanks to all the brave men who sacrificed all to show what it means to be an American, as a kid we'd pledge allegiance to the USA, hand over heart, it's a shame that the war is mostly forgotten, this airplane was one of my favorites, along with the P38 lightning. God bless all who served and to those who serve today. 🇺🇸
If a kid drew a plane
Holy mother of god
Absolutely beautiful aircraft
Why would you add noise to the music of the zero's engine?? Makes no sense whatsoever.
For production piston aircraft the F8F Bearcat could outclimb anything. But only about 40 feet behind it was the F7F. But the F7F would out accelerate anything in straight and level and in dives. Could even out turn the P-51D and would roll real well for such a large plane.
You don't want to install any liquid-cooled merlin on the f7f. Why? Sounds much better with two air-cooled R-2800's. Wouldn't mind seeing an F7F with two R-4360's or even two R-3350 -57(3,700hp) engines. Ultimate f7f conversion would be a turboprop version with two C-130 Allison's(4,910 e.s.h.p.) engines. But then it wouldn't be a Tigercat.
Two A6M3s and one A6M5 I think.
Didn't the g model have enclosed waist gunner wondows?
of the thousands of planes lost by the british in ww2 only about 190 of them were shot down.
Wow the sound like pulse jet from V-1 buzz bomb from ww2..
The old work horse.
I knew Dave when we both were flying for American Eagle/Wings West Airlines out of LAX. We at LAX were a fairly small group of crew members so we all knew each other, almost like an extended family. While I can’t recall flying together, he’d approach me from time to time with questions in the crew lounge or swapping aircraft at out stations. He was a good guy, knowledgeable, a “good stick”, a good Joe.
Woah
P-38 forever!
Steve’s my hero 👍💯
My Dad flew this plane from King's Cliffe England. He was "Black Barney".
Try doing a Pogochev Cobra.
My Uncle flew P-40’s. So great to hear Alison talk. Does anyone know if Alison ever attended World War II Weekend in Reading, Pennsylvania at The Mid-Atlantic Air Museum? Im curious because Philip Cochran was born in Erie, PA. I remember seeing Alison’s memorial on a School Field trip.
No music please!!!!!!
Shame on you for putting music in that. We don't care about that! What we care about is the sound of the engine. And the real sounds. We're Aviation Enthusiasts.
what song is that?
P-38 sound is great, no need for music.
That looks much more compact than a hellcat.
Это круто .👍👍👍
NEVER thought I'd see three real Zeros in formation at the same time! Those who restored these aircraft, many thanks!
Precioso caza un de mis aviones favoritos de la segunda guerra mundial
Yamamoto shooter, Gabelschwanz teufel. A hell of an aircraft.
UltraLights, get a Bigger FuelTank!
Good Test Run!
Rod Lewis has another Avspecs restored Mosquito coming to Texas soon. Steve Hinton did the test flights in New Zealand recently.
Hey planes of Fame, quick question, I know this was in 2022 and came back today and yesterday (2024), is it every two years, or every year?

Funfact: the Mossie could deliver the same bombload to Berlin as a B-17 but it would be half way back in the Uk before the B-17 got to Berlin. An incredibly versatile aircraft. One version had a huge cannon fitted to sink U Boats. The USAAF had many Mosquitoes for various tasks.
Please BAN Wilhelm Karsten/Sander van der Kammen from posting his hate and misinformation on this wonderful first gen jet aircraft
in last 40 years I and my family we've visiter your air museum 25 times. Thank you. Giovanni Carlini Italian army.

Somebody picked some kick-ass music to go with that footage. Excellent!
Growing up our house was inside the landing pattern of the airport. Connie’s all the Douglas makes and convair prop jobs would fly over the house.
‘La Patrona” is gorgeous!
beautiful flight formations!
