    Thanks for the feedback @Dilby, as always it’s very useful and inciteful. The mix can be sorted and I may just take you up on the offer however I didn’t really mix this honestly so I’m going to give that a go but get your reference to understand how to do it better. Top man ;)

    All I can. say is WOW! I love the fact that you are meticulous on purpose without being overwhelming in explaining what your're doing and why. No one can ever accuse you of being selfish with sharing the wealth of knowledge you have. Watching your tutorial I felt like a first year med student watching a top surgeon performing open heart surgery. You kill it bro. Thanks a million, literally!

    Great stuff, but that's a click bait title if I've ever seen one. This is more like "how to recycle audio". Wouldn't call them melodies either, more like support elements. Fresh melodies implies something else. Not many edm youtubers actually put out content on how to compose a melody. I'd say just start playing the keys. Even if you don't know how to play very well, start with creating a rhythm with just one note. Make sure it grooves with what you have already. Then just look up the notes to a scale, remember them; there's only a few of them and then start hitting only those notes on that groove you created. Something usable is almost guaranteed to emerge from that even if performed somewhat randomly. Practice, practice, practice.

  • @dilbydj

    Personally I prefer to write melodies around vocals.if I'm going to work with a vocalist you could try using an acapella and then delete it before sending it to the singer.

    Hey man. How do you deal with time stretching loopcloud vocals that have spaces before and after the actual vocal samples? That are all over the place and almost impossible to use

  • @dilbydj
    @dilbydj12 күн бұрын

    I've not really encountered that. But just figure out the tempo and the play around with the start point of the sample. Or you could just try dragging each word around with the warp markers, but you'll probably get better results from the other method.

  • @ELLIOT8209
    @ELLIOT820912 күн бұрын

    @@dilbydj some samples are never 2,4,8,etc bars. They even loop back to the start before playing the whole sample whilst synced to the DAW.

  • @dilbydj
    @dilbydj12 күн бұрын

    @@ELLIOT8209 the just extend or shorten the loop brace to be the length you want. If a loop is 7 bars long but you want it to loop every 8 bars just make the loop 8 bars but keep the timing the same, so you will essentially have a bar of silence at the end.
