In this Shakers Masterclass I will show you how to make your own shaker loops for Underground House and Techno tracks. Professional Shaker Loops can elevate organic house, deep house, afro house, progressive house and any electronic music track really. I'm using Ableton Live, but all of these techniques and principles are applicable to Logic, Cubase, Reason, FL Studio, Studio One, Bitwig and all other popular DAW's.

Also getting out the microphone and some egg shakers does wonders for groove
Great stuff, cheers
Dilby is the man :)
Ah sick I just got back from the club and this shows up on my feed. Perfect!

definately made a difference !
u da man! 🙏🏻💜
Excelente amigo grandes trucos saludos desde México 🇲🇽
Shakers are something I struggle with. I tend to go for the loop folder and try to make a shaker loop fit - it rarely does tbh! Sample selection is key here, but being able to pick samples that contrast in a way that adds to the vibe is a big skill that takes a lot of patience!. Thanks for the video man, really appreciate it!

Would recommend checking out Klevgrand Skaka, amazing for creating legit shaker loops.

If you're using shaker loops, you can still play with them a bit. Using Beats warping, you can reduce the transients to tighten them up. And you can quantize the loop and then add your own preferred groove, which might help it mesh with the rest of your drums. And of course, you can alter the pitch, which can also help it fit into your beat better...

Replied before watching the whole video - didn't know Dilby was going to show the quantize and groove tip! 🤘
Thanks for sharing
Dilby! Love these tips man! Ps : we need a tutorial on how to make deep prog just like the one you’ve got on here, nice, deep and driving!

I think he's got one that he did a while back. Check the archives, I could be wrong. I'm yet to watch it, but I'm sure I've seen it there.
Impressive how much groove you created with the velocity and the interplay between shakers before adding Ableton's groove. I reach for groove right away. Maybe that's a crutch?
This is excellent, thank you as always. Do you find you get many phasing issues when you have so much going on? Or are all the samples different enough so that doesn't happen?
Do you ever use plugins like Klevgrand Shaka or UVI Percussion Factory for stuff like this?
Is there any timestamp names mistake? Btw nice tutorial on shakers ! The sound selection is crucial !
