is it still ok for color treated and relaxed hair if you apply leave conditioner, and a swim cap to swim in a chlorine/ pool?

I was fighting you on your advice. On wetting my hair every day. As a child, lucky if I got it wet once a month. So much hair and took an entire day. Not lying. Not including the air drying. It retains moisture and is normal porosity. Wets fine. You said use as much conditioner as hair. I was nowhere in that ball park of usage. I'm wetting regularly but not drenched wet every day, afraid of water fatigue. The conditioner goes on damp or wet hair, every day. I've noticed a change !!!!! One: length, it grows anyway, not surprising. Two: Texture a lot more manageable when dry. Three: Vibrancy, she looks good. Four: A lot more manageable and consistent.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 thank you!!!!

The proof is in the results. And I definitely see it here. I’ve been gathering information about this man and the method, the philosophy and science behind it, and listening to the many testimonials of women here on KZread that swear by it. This makes so much sense! Just like when my hair was relaxed, I’m at a point on this natural hair journey where my growth has slowed down, and I think it’s due to dryness. EVERYTHING I’ve been doing has been wrong. I’m starting this method TODAY.🔥

Long hair is not my goal. I keep my hair fairly short. I cowash as often as I feel like. I cowash at least every 3-4 days I only shampoo when my hair feels coated or waxy. And even then, I dilute my shampoo. So I shampoo my hair as little as possible sometimes it weekly other times every 2 weeks. I avoid heavy products, so I don't have build-up. I wanna try stretching out shqmpooa to even less frequently. I have no scalp issues neither do I battle tangles and single strand knots. I put it down to cowashing frequently. If I stretch out cowashing, there are more tangles. So its the Dickey way or no way fo my way for me.

You’re so right! I come to believe that a 7 day wash and go is like getting a mini start on locking your hair. I truly believe that is why we have so much breaking. Wash and go equals to locks and detangling equals breaking hair!!😢

I'm glad you answered my question! Can we now discuss combs? Unfortunately our community is so uneducated on what tools work for what styling techniques. Can we get into the comb! There are stylist who are using fine tooth combs to detangle type 4 hair in 2024; they are pulling out all of their clients hair.
