Make Your Protective Style Truly Protective with Nourishment Leave-In Moisturizer
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Before putting your hair away for a protective style, make sure that you've made the necessary preparations. Remember, your hair will not have the luxury of a rinse-out conditioner when up in a braid or twist-out, so it's essential to keep it hydrated while tucked away. With every protective style, blow out your hair first with your favorite oils and tons of Nourishment Leave-In Moisturizer from Hair Rules. This way, your hair will come out of the protective style in better condition than when it went in. That's the true essence of a protective style!

Thank you for highlighting 4c! We 4c gals really need and appreciate these helpful videos❤
I always thought you should not over ladden your hair with product before blow drying. This will be a game changer for me. Thank you!!

I see people breaking the rules all the time that clearly know the rules.
I absolutely love that we ended by enjoying her natural hair as part of her styling strategy. All of the styles (including the textured wig) were 🔥

Its funny when I was young we used to never put oil or products in hair before protective styles like weaves and braids thinking that it would create problems for the hair when in fact oiling and conditioning the hair was always the better thing to do. I'm so glad we know this now.
This video was very helpful!
Thanks for explaining this concept. It was helpful to hear the rationale, see the process, and see the end result. The model is gorgeous and her hair is beautiful, but more importantly healthy!!!!!!!!
Your client is beautiful and her braid out was so gorgeous. You’ve taken me way back to how we had our hair done as kids 70s and 80s with my sisters. Thank you so much for teaching us what had been meddled with, switched around and you know all that. 😊
When I blow dry my thin fine, low density 4 type hair, I'd put not too much (but just enough) leave in conditioner or heat protection. Result: my hair is as dry as summertime. I now realise that I should've slathered my hair in it instead.

Fine textures need more conditioner than usual, both rinse-out and leave-in, so it can be protected when heat styling :)

@@hairrules Thank you. Are sprays better than creams? I tend to use leave in conditioners, but there's more of a drying effect. I don't use actual heat protection sprays and I wonder which one is more likely to give me that soft length I see.
She is beautiful and her hair style is also. I'm going to try this routine for the winter months. Thanks as always for the info.
I love these videos because he is full of hair knowledge.. She has such beautiful hair💕💕

How would you prep this grade hair for flat ironing?
Just purchased the leave in! Will be trying this method. Did you detangle her hair before blow drying?

@@hairrules ok! Guess I’ll do that before I put the leave-in👍🏽 thank u!
I remember years ago, you left some conditioner in the hair of your client after washing it. Because it was a naturally drier texture you said. So what's up with that?

Remember he said if you know the rules you can break the rules…. Maybe that one client or texture needed that…I dunno just thinking out loud 😊
What temperatures and blow dry settings do you advise for prepping 4a,4b and 4c for a protective styling

@@hairrules Does this mean using a ton of leave in/heat protectant? Whenever I put it on the high setting my hair just dries out really quickly. (Thin, fine 4 type hair, low density).
When I put leave in before blow drying my hair feels sticky & stiff afterwards….how do I fix it?

Hard to figure out the cause not knowing the rest of your regimen, but how about trying a heat protectant instead of a leave-in? We have a product called Blow It All Out that we spray before heat styling.
