    This was a great video. Thanks. For some reason I can’t use the tab keys to drag/ interact with the text boxes. I do have triggers on each of them so not sure what I am doing wrong. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    I am using this but running into a problem: my client needs the quiz to have three attempts. On the third attempt, the incorrect items do not reset. They do change color, but they do not snap back to their original position. This is an issue because the slide has 19 items to place into a flowchart-type of scenario, and if the items do not snap back, learners might lose track of which items still need to be moved.

    I designed on storyline 360, created a 360 space as you instructed, but when published, it can only be viewed on a computer, not used on a phone or tablet device, right? I need your help because I'm participating in an LMS design competition. Thank you very much

    Hi David, the interaction you show at 09:04 is exactly what I'm trying to accomplish, but it never works for me. In the @cbtcafe video you pinned below he even shows that you have to click out of the text entry box before you can hit enter. Did Articulate break something in the newer updates?

  • @cbtcafe

    Good one, Nathan! Took me a couple tries to figure out what was going on. We updated how text entry fields with a multi-line checkbox: bit.ly/3x8lO5M If you uncheck that option, the enter key should work.

    Hi @RetroTechSelect! I use Camtasia for all my screen recording. The main reason is for its editing capabilities. Editing in Camtasia is so quick and easy compared to the other options.

    Good morning Dave! I have a question. Have you occasionally come across a drag and drop requirement where the number of drag items differs from the number of drop targets? And where drag elements have correct and incorrect states? Thank you! I have a problem with the handling of these states in the feedback.

  • @cbtcafe

    Hi Hector. Sorry I missed your comment. Are you seeing issues w/ resetting the states? Do you have a source file I can look at? Happy to take a look.

    Hi David, Great video as always. What tool did you use to zoom in at 2:52?

  • @cbtcafe
    @cbtcafe10 ай бұрын

    Hi Mike. The magnifier apps I use are Mac-only apps: 1) ZoomIt www.zoomitapp.com/zoom-it.html and 2) Mousepose boinx.com/mousepose/. Strangely, the zoomit domain appears to be for sale which means they're no longer in business. Darn. That means my days are numbered with that app. Mousepose is just as good w/ a few more features. The closest option on Windows is the magnifier tool: support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/11542/windows-use-magnifier-to-make-things-easier-to-see Tom Kuhlmann also has some magnifying tools in this blog post: blogs.articulate.com/rapid-elearning/presentation-tips-webinars-screencast-tutorials/

    Thanks a lot for this example. It is great to see, how easy it could be. I am following your explanations a long time and enjoy all the ideas and your speed to come to a result. Your are using a MAC to work with Storyline and everything seems to run realy fast there. Some colleagues are having trouble when creating new triggers on a MAC. It takes a much longer time compared to your presentation here. Is there a special trick, hint or setting that might speed up the work with triggers on a MAC computer? Are you using parallels and which version? My colleagues are using the latest storyline version. I know that update from June 20th 2023 (Build 3.77.30568.0) should have speed it up, but it is not as fast as in your presentation. I am extremly curious about your answer.

    Sorry I missed your question! Yes, I"m running Storyline 360 on my MacBook Pro. When I made this video 4 months ago, I was on my 2019 Intel-based MBP. I've since upgraded to the current MBP with the M3 chips and running the 64-bit beta of Storyline 360. Performance in Storyline is about the same in both machines so I would not recommend upgrading Intel Macs for Storyline. I mostly upgraded because I wanted more hard drive space.

  • @cbtcafe
    @cbtcafe5 ай бұрын

    When was the last time you tried Storyline on your Mac? In June 2023 we updated Storyline's trigger panels to run much faster on Macs. I don't own a Windows machine and build my demos and webinars using Storyline on a M1 (now M3) chips.
