    On the cutting room floor (metaphorically). The camera I used to film my NX trip disappeared from my desk and I have never found it since. So NX only gets mentioned in the video as part of the comparison section rather than the journey itself.

    Glad you liked the video. Hackney area doesn't have a lot to do - I think there's a museum and an independent cinema. You might want to check out St. Augustine's Tower if you like history, but I think it's only open once a month. There are lots of food places though, catering for every kind of cuisine you might want. Best thing about staying in Hackney Downs is that it's easy to get to Liverpool Street station and then get on the tube to visit anywhere in central London, where you can see all the main attractions - Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament, London Eye, Hyde Park and Edgware Road etc. You can also take a train from Liverpool Street station to Southend or Manningtree if you want to visit the beach for a day trip. Let me know how it goes.

    Staying in Hackney Downs is a bad idea to being with, it’s too far from anything of interest and the trains that run there are lousy. The area itself is horrible. To stay there in a makeshift coffin just makes it all the more miserable. God help anyone coming to London that tries that lot out. The ‘pod’ looks like an infection incubator and far too small and nasty looking. What a dump, why did they even bother? £37 sounds cheap but Christ you’d be better off spending another £30 and staying in an actual cheap hotel that isn’t in the middle of a crappy part of London. These videos work better when you don't add the ongoing live commentary, the Japanese have this down 100%, it's all subtitles. That means, firstly you are not annoying the other people in the pods, also you don't ramble as you create a script. 'Noise complaints', yeh this is this guy in the pod next to me talking I'm trying to sleep before catching my flight....

  • @JayShareef
    @JayShareef2 ай бұрын

    It comes down to a matter of taste. Some people prefer the live commentary. Others prefer the voiceover. My own preference when watching KZread are the videos with the live commentary. Which is why I chose to do it that way myself. And no-one was being annoyed. There were hardly any people staying there and I only ever spoke in the pod room in a low voice - and only during daylight hours. I always try and be considerate when filming videos.

    Halal options are non-existent now. They used to serve Halal chicken a few years back, but the staff told me that's no longer the case in any of their restaurants. However, every restaurant will have vegan options (except maybe the Steakhouse / Firehouse) so you will always have something to enjoy. Alternatively, if you've got an apartment with a kitchen then you can make your own food. Be sure to take your own baking trays and some foil though. Respectfully, I disagree. Violence and coercion of the state are often against some minority group or groups that others have prejudice and bigotry towards. If we take nazi Germany, then it’s quite clear that bigotry and prejudice of Jewish people, gay and trans people, and black people made it possibly for that kind of government to be elected. The ideas, practices, or projects of anti-sexism, anti-antisemitism, and anti racism would be logically compatible with libertarianism, their success might be important or even necessary for libertarianism to get much purchase in an existing statist society, or for a future free society to emerge from statism without widespread poverty or social conflict, or for a future free society to sustain itself against aggressive statist neighbors, the threat of civil war, or an internal collapse back into statism. It seems that a tolerant, anti-prejudice, reasoning culture is a very strong causal precondition to establish classical liberalism or libertarianism in politics. (Edit): If we oppose traditional sexism, cissexism, heterosexism, oppositional sexism, etc. (opposing them through reasonable boycotts, complaints, protests, conversations, debates, or discussions, not coercively) then a society would not influence or cause political that violates the rights of woman, homosexual people, or transsexual and transgender people. If we oppose classism, whether it is directed at the lower, middle, or upper classes, then the culture won’t endorse the political schemes wherein we try to, violently and coercively, give a lot of money from the rich to the poor, or give a lot of money from the poor and middle class and give it to the rich, in the form of corporate welfare. If we oppose racism and antisemitism, the society would not tolerate, permit, or engage political interests that engage in violence against any person or color or white person on the basis of their race. I think actively protesting and opposing (non-violently and non-coercively) sexism, racism, classism, or any other hatred, bigotry, or prejudice is a very helpful for society to put forward and accept laws and policies that are nonviolent.
