I'm kind of a machinist/engineer type of guy, spending a lot of time in the workshop so my KZread channel is mainly about D.I.Y. projects. Sometimes I also repair and do maintenance on machines. Subscribe if you want to see all of that!

Bro is incredible. He saved this beautiful puppy and gave it back its initial charm! 👍🏻
mesin apa merek nya ini
well done
👍👍👍
It is so much fun watching you build! This thing is super beefy and stout! It reminds me of how over-build old Honda 3wheelers were made! I can't wait to see more! Hope all is well Donn!

Treiterad on nürid.
Whoa!! The piece coming loose from the lathe even made me take cover! Don't kill yourself before you get to BRAAAPPP BRAPP on your bike! 👍
Thank you for the concern!🙏😬😛
Another elegant little solution. Is the bar of the saw just attached by clamping or do you have some peg that fit holes in the sword?
The bar is only clamped in.👍 It seems to be holding tight.
@@DonnDIY You are a brave man. I would not dare to try that :)
Wonderful work. Very skilled.
Thanks!🙏🙏
@@DonnDIY Thank you for sharing this! Almost inspires me to want to learn welding.
This is really really some nice work. Your fabrication skills are getting better and better every day! Interesting solutions to tough problems and the execution seems to be getting easier every day for u. Well done!
Waw keren bagus sekali👍👍👍👍
What in the Florida man is this? Awe dang ima have ta build me one of those
A true artist. We are very lucky to have this content, thanks Donn! Re: that sprocket ratio .. are you planning to tow log trailers with this thing or what? 🤣 Looking amazing, friend, thank you so very much for continuing to share your genius with us.
The rear sprocket seems big but according to calculations it could be too small since the tires are 22" in diameter. But we'll see, hoping to testride this minibike soon.👍
@@DonnDIY Cant wait to see it, keep up the good work!
Love the build. I feel the brake caliper is overly exposed though.
It is a bit on the exposed side but also freely accessible, making maintenance easier.🤷♂️ Mounting the caliper to the frame is also much easier.👍
There anit no way that easy
Looking great! Keep up the great work! Thanks for sharing! 👍👌
Thanks for watching!
Dam good work.. got to admit im a little envious of your garage. Press, CNC, metal lathe 😨
Wonderful build! Love your building skills. Next up a feed system to get it moving along the rail without pushing?
It is super easy to push actually. Much more easier than my bandsawmill was. I just have to build a proper vertical blade guard that actually directs the sawdust/wood chips. Right now it throws everything in my face and I have to go slower with the pushing.
@@DonnDIY True, pushing is not very hard. I have pushed some bandsaws. But if you can stand and operate the saw in one end you are also far away from dust and noise. There is also added safety. In the unlucky event that the saw hits a rock or something hard in the wood and shoot out some shrapnel it is nice to stand far away and possible behind a sheet of acrylic. I don't have welding skills or a welder, but if I had I would definitely buy some kind of crank or electric drive system for my saw. This of course does not make you work any less excellent. You have done an awesome job. It looks as good as many factory made products.
good content. but get rid of that donnDIY off the middle of the screen, it really wrecks the video.
I've gotten bit by the jaws on my lathe plenty of times and I'm sure I will get bitten again. Your lathe looks like it would gladly take an arm if you give it half a chance. I'm not trying to be Mr. Safety. That's just my way of saying I love your machine.
No doubt - one has to respect his lathe and be careful around it.👍
The weld seam looks nice,Fronius ✌️forever;)
Love it so much keep it up as always 💘
👍👍👍!!!
I Built an INSANE Electric Mini Moto (+60mph!) Sur Ronster -ü- ("ea$y").
Isn't your engine going to spin the wrong direction?
Good question👍but no. The engine crankshaft rotation is counter-clockwise.👍
Hi 👋 donn?!! I'm impressed how you solved any problem. And make it that way easier your work. Nice 👌
Thanks for sharing with us Donn. Great fabrication project you are building. Always something interesting and showing lots of good techniques you are sharing too. Stay safe and keep up the great videos and fun you have around there. Fred.
😎
Awesome!
Thats going to be fun to ride! Mad skills man!
Cheers! Let's hope it works as intended.👍
The mini bike is looking Pretty-ty good. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 That split hub is fantastic and seems indestructible.
Why not use the sprocket as a brake disc?
I considered this but was afraid that brake pads would get contaminated from the chain lube that's stuck to the sprocket.
Quite possible but I would have thought that centrifugal force would keep it clean
Or go for belt drive
Hey Donn, very nice build! I saw something when you built the clamping fixture holding the chainsaw in place that I wanted to mention, it might save you some trouble. The outer clamp fixture holding the end of the bar looked like it was almost on top the space for the bar's sprocket, that might lead to premature failure if it's home gets tightened up by the bar being clamped right there. But that could've just been the angle of the filming making it appear that way. A longer bar in the future might help with that. Also on the clamping fixtures, a nylon block might grip and hold on better for less slip over time on the mill than steel on steel on a Stihl. Those might get you less vibration in your hands/arms and the mill too. Very neat DIY cousin, you've inspired me on a few things before and I like what you do. Thank you for sharing.
You're right, the end clamp is very close to the sprocket to maximize cut width. I'll look into the nylon block clamping option. Cheers for that info!🙏
@@DonnDIY My pleasure Sir! Looking forward to the next DIY project. 🙂
Donn I love the way you think your way through a problem, your mindset to overcome, love ya brother
It's a pretty big lathe for jewelers' size work, but okay.... And for our next project, a swarf baler!
Mini bike, maxi performance!
Bling bling. Nice gold chain.
