How I Built My Workshop - START to FINISH
Start-to-finish workshop/garage build in an old barn.
Since I have my swingblade sawmill parts painted and stored on a pallet and the truss beam build will be shortly on its way I'm taking the time to look back and remember what was before and what is now. Humble beginnings lead to interesting outcomes. Even though the workshop is starting to get small for my projects (or the builds are getting bigger and bigger) I've still managed to do quite a few builds here. Making this start-to-finish video makes me appreciate my workshop even more. Thanks for watching!

As a man that struggles with ADHD and CDO (that's OCD but in alphabetical order) this was one of the most therapeutic videos I've seen in quite a while! Great video!

Every time i watch one of your video, I say "this man is crazy"... that's so impressive ! And always attention to details... thank you, Sir !!
Old dairy barns have a certain miasma that never quite fades away. Nicely done. Thank you for sharing. Wish you well.
What a nice trip down memory lane. I remember talking with you about something for replacing the concrete floor. I had watched all the videos until then and some after then youtube decided I had too many subscriptions and removed a bunch of channels from my subscribed list. It took me two years before I realized they had removed you from my list, been here ever since I realized it and came back. Thanks for making videos to share with us, Donn. It is never a bad thing to make people dream.

I've had the same thing happen to me.
I remember how unlikely it seemed something as complex as a sawmill could be built in the "shop that was". Always a better day for visiting Donn's workshop! Even the reruns are original!

Thanks. Sorry for the rerun. Had to remind myself (in the midst of the frustration of projects not fitting in the workshop anymore) that at one point it was my dream workshop.😀

I’ve been watching for the past 7-10 years 🤔give or take and I thought the old area was great but after seeing all the improvements and where you are today…. Well.. all I can say is AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!! I have a welding business and was thinking of starting a channel of my own I’ve been accumulating videos here and there but hopefully I’ll be on the same level as you 💪🏽ALOHA FROM HAWAII 💯🌺🇺🇸

Donn, you're doing great, I admire you, your hard work, patience and accuracy. Many will envy such a workshop. The workshop has been transformed, it has become bright, beautiful, there is more space. It remains only to work in it, create new projects, shoot new videos and please us, your subscribers. Thank you for the sea of positivity, I watched in one breath without looking up from the screen. All the best to you. Peace, kindness and love to all.

Massively expensive build but of the highest quality and also comfort to fight off Estonian winters. So many valuable skillsets Donn. Nice to see someone who does periodic ABC dry powder fire extinguisher shakes to prevent clumping

Those 1940ish machinist cabinets and bench were made super heavy duty. No one could afford something like it anymore. 👍 I do remember that struggle moving the lathe, but I suppose that will be in the next episode. 😀

Thks for sharing your experience with us ya made it look easy so you got my vote cause your real working man nice to see ya use what ya was Givin so show us more the basics is always great start so from Canada 🍁 SK later keep them coming mighty fast chilly in winter minus 45 sometimes and the wind is nasty use lots of wood too heat my shop 😊
Nice work 😊👍
Boy, that is a lot of physical labor. Oh, to be young again. Outstanding job. I wish the building codes in the USA were more flexible when it comes to repairing, adding on, and full construction on your own property. Here you can't put new stairs up on your home without going through the whole permitting process.
I always love that anything you build, you do it right and not half assed like so many other people. Great watching it all. I had to slow the video down because you was going way to fast lol

Im glad you documented this! You accomplish an incredible amount of work in a tight space, and I (and I think most of us!) have wondered how the Little House of Magic and Manufacturing came to be! Who helped you when you needed a second or third person? The young man in the skateboard sequence must be a brother, but was your Dad there too? All in all, quite the aerobics program you have there😂😂
Ooh , nice and tidy , love it .
