Nuts and Bolts Organiser made from Pallets and Scrap Metal
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
I've already got loads of drawers, but I wanted somewhere just for nuts and bolts.
You can never have too many drawers.
It's all made out of pallets and scrap.
I also found a use for our old tumble dryer.

There is something to be said about saying absolutely nothing. There was no " like & subscribe ", " hit that notification bell " or " smash that button " or any other obnoxious request to follow their page. What a breath of fresh air. This man, his work, his paired down approach, free of dramatic innuendos, clic baits or non sensical banter to allow his work to speak for itself, I LOVE THIS. In this day & age of shameless self promotion, where it's not important how beautiful, functional or purposeful something is but rather if some vapid celeb like Kim Kardashian barfed on it that makes any algorithm spike, i'm glad there's still some that believe that their work should speak for itself. You have earned my subscription and admiration sir, bravo !

Well, this is what trained carpenters or cabinet makers can do. Go to the cabinet maker whom you trust, show him this video, an he will make you such a drawer cabinet. All you have to do is to pay for it. And do not wait too long, these craftsmen are just dying out.

I'm sorry, but I'm writing with a translator. I had an uncle and he also worked with wood and spoke just as much as you do in your videos. He worked calmly and precisely and watched until I was a child. Sometimes he spoke and then he spoke words of wisdom. I once asked him if this could not be done faster with another method? This is what he answered. Good work takes time, bad work takes even more time because you have to correct it. That was forty years ago, but I'll never forget it. You make great videos and it reminds me of my wonderful childhood. I also made a small DIY workshop for myself, but I can't make furniture anywhere near as nice as this. However, the smell of wood calms you down in this fast-paced world.

That's old-school craftsmanship. Love it
I watch alot of people that work with wood. You're one of the few that's an actual woodworker. I think you're one of the few people that can make "how to" videos about old handheld woodworking tools. Those of us that follow your channel know that you definitely have enough experience using them to give you absolute credibility.

Another strong project. Typically, I watch your videos several times. The first time for pleasure, the second time to take notes (if the project is useful to me in practice), and start making a plan. @Tensquaremetreworkshop

Why? Seriously, why? If it just for appearance, wallpaper of drawer fronts will do. For storage of most components, where numbers and types vary over time, they are an inefficient and time consuming method. With a workshop (rather than a display area) form follows function. It is a tool to facilitate making, and should be fit for purpose.

@@Tensquaremetreworkshop I do embroidery and crochet and I would like to put my cottons etc in separate drawers so I could find them easier 😁 but I look at your drawers and get envious 😂
@Tensquaremetreworkshop
25 күн бұрын
@@kathleenrobson1803 You will find them easier in a large drawer-colour along one axis and shade the other. Run the sample you are trying to match across this field and you will get the best match in seconds. Large drawers are little more effort than a small one- and take less space! (there is a lot of space lost to the parts of a drawer if it is small). Plus it is easier to afford slide mechanisms- soft close. Probably cheaper than a lot of handles and label holders. Don't want to make? Take a look at mechanics tool trollies...
This place is a temple for those who appreciate. Amazing project. Thanks for sharing.

Great video! I see you have no shortage of wood. I restore wood boats for a living, the amount of mahogany and teak I replace from these restorations is crazy. If only I was your neighbour, you’d be swimming in this wood.
Every time I try to convince myself to throw away or scrap things .... I watch your creative process and wonder what I can make out my old stuff :). Silly me, I had never really thought about a dead appliance as a great source of sheet metal. Well done sir, well done.
I marvel at your skill at taking pallet wood and metal and creating a beautiful useful piece of shop storage. I really enjoy the videos you present with such detail and skill-keep it up.
I love the look of the black wood with polished metal. Great piece of art.
