Nuts and Bolts Organiser made from Pallets and Scrap Metal

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I've already got loads of drawers, but I wanted somewhere just for nuts and bolts.
You can never have too many drawers.
It's all made out of pallets and scrap.
I also found a use for our old tumble dryer.

There is something to be said about saying absolutely nothing. There was no " like & subscribe ", " hit that notification bell " or " smash that button " or any other obnoxious request to follow their page. What a breath of fresh air. This man, his work, his paired down approach, free of dramatic innuendos, clic baits or non sensical banter to allow his work to speak for itself, I LOVE THIS. In this day & age of shameless self promotion, where it's not important how beautiful, functional or purposeful something is but rather if some vapid celeb like Kim Kardashian barfed on it that makes any algorithm spike, i'm glad there's still some that believe that their work should speak for itself. You have earned my subscription and admiration sir, bravo !

I'm sorry, but I'm writing with a translator. I had an uncle and he also worked with wood and spoke just as much as you do in your videos. He worked calmly and precisely and watched until I was a child. Sometimes he spoke and then he spoke words of wisdom. I once asked him if this could not be done faster with another method? This is what he answered. Good work takes time, bad work takes even more time because you have to correct it. That was forty years ago, but I'll never forget it. You make great videos and it reminds me of my wonderful childhood. I also made a small DIY workshop for myself, but I can't make furniture anywhere near as nice as this. However, the smell of wood calms you down in this fast-paced world.

Why? Seriously, why? If it just for appearance, wallpaper of drawer fronts will do. For storage of most components, where numbers and types vary over time, they are an inefficient and time consuming method. With a workshop (rather than a display area) form follows function. It is a tool to facilitate making, and should be fit for purpose.

@@kathleenrobson1803 You will find them easier in a large drawer-colour along one axis and shade the other. Run the sample you are trying to match across this field and you will get the best match in seconds. Large drawers are little more effort than a small one- and take less space! (there is a lot of space lost to the parts of a drawer if it is small). Plus it is easier to afford slide mechanisms- soft close. Probably cheaper than a lot of handles and label holders. Don't want to make? Take a look at mechanics tool trollies...

Wow again, I love watching your videos, they take me back to being a little girl watching my grandpa in his garage, it always smelled of wood, and I remember him using all those hand tools you have especially the rachet screwdriver and the hand drill, with the big wooden knob, thank you for sharing and the memories.

Very nice recycling the old pallets and the dryer. I recycle wood from pallets too. Love repurposing old wood. It has character, you might say.

Your precision is second to none! I love how you take a washing machine and turn it into faceplates and drawer pulls. Ingenious. I've seen all your videos and I love it when make fancy hinges lol. I didn't watch this one straight away cuz I knew I'd a nice Sunday coming up to enjoy it with breakfast and a cuppa tea ❤

I got some old pallets last year and have been thinking about how to undo them the easy way. Now I know. I just have to get a good handaxe for step one. Thanks a lot. That will make my own project much more easy.
