Hydraulic Crane Install On Homemade 4x4 Timber Trailer - FM50T

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Installing FM50T hydraulic crane on my homemade 4x4 timber trailer. I sold the original FM35 crane and replaced it with this telescopic one to try the extra reach out that it'll provide. The install was fairly easy. The new joysticks have buttons on them for telescope and grapple. Before the grapple had to be operated via separate lever. Now all the controls are on two levers. The side supports are still operated via separate levers. Now the timber trailer is ready for hauling logs for my swingblade sawmill project once it's finished. Stay tuned!

You definitely made the right decision upgrading to the telescopic boom. I've got one on my JCB 2CX and it makes thing so much easier. You won't have to reposition your trailer as often which would be a pain with it being hooked up to your UTV,. You've got a great setup there, amazing.

Looking Good Donn and works "PRETTY GOOD" which means FANTASTIC . I sure would have enjoyed owning one of those outfits back about 40 years ago when I was able to get around like you do. I sure did enjoy watching you build this one and all the other things you have built around there in the past several years. Keep up the great work and teach your son how to do what you can do around there. Stay safe and keep em coming. Fred.

A super easy and accurate way to transfer hole locations (like you did for the controls) is to use tape. In this example, stick the tape to the controls, mark the holes, transfer the tape to the mounting surface and you're done! I try to avoid measuring any time I can. Keep up the great vids!

The simpler 2 handle operation is nice but my experience with most hydraulic control buttons is that they are missing the ability for fine movement as they are on/off. This is unless they have proportional movement or they switch the function of the main handle so that the main handle can control the movement of the secondary function.

Vinge! Saab näha, palju mugavamaks läheb. Pakun, et kõvasti. Mul ühel päeval tekkis mõte, et autolt kärule minevale ülekandele äkki saaks panna vahele automaatkasti siduri/"torque converter"i leevendamaks keeramisel tekkivaid pingeid kaotmata käru vedu täielikult.

Juba praegu (reaalselt testimata muidugi) tundub mugavam.

@@DonnDIY Hydraulic system driven by the UTV engine maybe.? That car engine should have enough power to drive that oil-pump for the crane and other stuff you gonna make in the future.. 😉 Im a huge fan of your channel, and im sitting here in Denmark and love to watch your videos. 🙂👍
