Sheepdog Says

Sheepdog Says

I can’t go anywhere or do anything without it turning into some kind of embarrassing story, so I was told to do a vlog where I could share things as they happen.

It quickly turned into a mix of family vlogging with my kids: Emily, Oliver and Ben; a Place for me to document our days out; and a place for me to talk about Autism and various things that interest me.

I’d like to reach a point where I have some kind of niche that I talk about, but so far I skim along the surface covering pretty much anything, telling embarrassing stories and learning how to keep a vlog going.

I tend to release on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I stream on Twitch on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays. You can find me there on twitch.tv/sheepdog6k

I’ve always wondered whether people read these. So if you did, leave a comment on one of my videos. If you’re not sure what to write, tell me which is the better - Pepsi Max or Doctor Pepper?

You can follow me on Twitter @rb6k

    Hi! So I ended up speaking to a solicitor who specialises in pip and they wrote a letter for mine to be redone due to how many law breaking mistakes they made. I would recommend seeking some kind of representation if you can, there are different services and groups. TikTok has an account called pip hero with some great resources. You need to ask your doctor to provide your medical history so you can give evidence of all of your diagnosed conditions, how they affect you, how they limit you etc. They will mess around though. The solicitor said they tend to behave when there’s legal experts involved.

    @@rfofficial24 they pretty much always decline it the first time. If you write back with all of your medical information from your doctor and go through the criteria 1 by 1 explaining how you are with them that should help. What a wonder is where we’re all the adhd, autistic, hyperactivity disorder and all the other disorders when I was at school? Really I just do not remember any, we had 40 to a class,just the teacher some kids were a bit slow but we all just got on with it. This was the 50/60/70s, my father in law was a teacher,headmaster for over 38 years plus his own schooling never came across child with Tourette’s my granddaughter school has 2!

  • @SheepdogSays
    @SheepdogSays11 ай бұрын

    They definitely existed Doug. Most cultures throughout history have words and descriptions for them. They weren’t particularly well understood, and in the 50s you’re talking post war. I doubt much thought was put into kids to be honest. As someone diagnosed later in life, I know when I was at school kids like me were just called class clowns, kids would just act aggressive with you because they didn’t like you and you’d make friends with the other autistic / adhd kids. You’d also get an absurd amount of detentions. I was getting 80+ a year because “just learn your lesson” doesn’t work with adhd. They assumed I was a difficult kid who refused to cooperate but I had no capability of managing this stuff. If it’d been the 60s I’d have probably just been beaten by the headmaster on a daily basis which would’ve been grim. Today we know this stuff is adhd, autism, etc. My son is at school and his head went from trying to force him to comply to working with him and getting to know him and this year was the best year he’s ever had in school because someone took the time to learn and understand the issues rather than assuming it was just excuses and difficulties. I get how it looks from the outside. But you’ve probably forgotten all times a kid was difficult or cried a lot, or got stressed or didn’t speak ever. They’d have been there completely oblivious to what their issue was. As adults they’d just be considered odd and unusual. Like the whimsical scientist types you see in older media.

    We had over 40 in a class one teacher no help. My grand kids teacher struggle with 25 kids have to have quiet rooms, one class asked not to have bright red tops, used to have drums and tambourines but not any more as some children are triggered by sudden noise, one child is oftern late or not picked up as mum is unable to time regulate. Some children permanently have on noise reduction headphones. I can say that did not exist in my childhood. My in law was a headmaster and for a project he was doing looked up the exclusion and expulsions and rates of non attendance they were far lower in the past.You look like you are driving,you are able to sort out filming, editing uploading for goodness sake sort out a haircut appointment
