Imposter Syndrome | Sheepdog Says

So who spent 20 minutes recording a vlog about Imposter Syndrome and then realized they already did the exact same topic 4 years ago? That's right, me!
It's quite a confidence boost seeing how much better the Sheepdog Says vlogs are now vs then, and a relief that so few people saw the 2018 one, so if you avert your gaze and focus entirely on this one - it's an all new vlog!
This time there has been an improvement in the feelings, it's more that I've done a lot, but I'm not focusing well. I have some exciting projects coming up, and I want to do more exciting things, more regularly.

You've achieved a whole lot in your life so far, and I fully believe it's just gonna go up and up throughout your life. I got to know about you from Kev, and now watch you a heck of a lot more than I watch him lol. If you have stuff you feel like you could do, just go for it, honestly. It doesn't really matter if it works out or not, it'll likely grant you more and better opportunities and experience for the future either way! For now I just selfishly hope you don't stop vlogging the way you do now, and streaming. As you already know, it takes a good bit of dedication and luck to get anywhere significant when it comes to KZread, Twitch, writing etc. but you've already had great things happen to boost that, and it really does sound like it'll get even better with the projects coming up!

Thanks Nathan I appreciate it! Even if I do other YT vids in future il still do the vlog because I enjoy the back and forth. I like updating on things. Sharing the wins and the problems. It enhances the situation both ways. It would be wonderful to be able to do all the things I enjoy as a job at some point in my life but its not a race - I could figure that out at any point in the next 10-20 years I guess!

@@SheepdogSays I find talking things through like on a vlog or a post etc. can really help clear my mind and see the situation clearer, plus it's indeed nice to get feedback on it. Plus, the people who are drawn to vlogs are likely very nosy people and want to talk and help. And, absolutely! Take things as they come, you still have plenty of years ahead of you to figure out what to do. My dad's 50 and has been working for the same company for 25+ years I believe, and still says he doesn't know what to do when he grows up!

Very relatable topic for me.... As a 33 year old trans man who has only been living in society as male for the last few years I often feel like an imposter among cis males. Having been on testosterone for almost 15 months I now "pass" as a male in public and as much as that gives me a huge sense of euphoria I sometimes can't help feel worried people will spot me and discover I'm "not a true man". Hopefully the further I get into transition that feelings of being an imposter will get less as i because more comfortable being around cis men.

Wow 15 months! I swear I remember us talking about you starting T! That has gone so fast. How exciting. You’re not an imposter. I’m glad you get to feel the Euphoria of being yourself.
