Welcome to the website where we present films and recordings made by filmmakers from the Polish State Forests.
Poland takes the leading position in Europe as far as the forest area is concerned. The forests overgrow 9.1 million hectares which is 29.4% of the territory of Poland. The vast majority of this area are forests owned by the state, out of which almost 7.6 million hectares are under the State Forests Holding management. The Forest Film Studio is part of it.
We want to share with you the effects of our work, i.e. unusual film meetings with nature, and in particular with the forest. In the photos you will see many animals filmed in their natural habitat, you will see the wildest corners of Poland, captivating landscapes. We hope that the films posted here, made in Forest Film Studio, will inspire you to your own natural explorations.
We will be very grateful if you subscribe to the channel and leave an opinion about the movies you watched.

I had no idea bison even existed in Europe until fairly recently. I thought bison were a species exclusively endemic to here in America. I remember hearing stories passed down from my ancestors (Polish & German) about storks, cuckoos, bears, wolves, elk and even “blue” frogs but none about bison. I suppose it’s because they were already scarce when my great grandparents immigrated to America in the early-to-mid 1800s. Populations then already limited to one northern primeval forest and the Caucasus Mountains in the south. Fascinating & well done documentary!
This made me so happy and calm

Awesome 👍
Thank you and greetings!
Wow, what an amazing channel. This is what happens when a skilled film-maker actually lives in an amazing place instead of being flown in briefly on assignment by an employer. I found it because YT told me my audience also watches this channel. I can see why! Keep up the great work - the world needs you.
Extremely nice comment, thank you! Greetings from Poland and from Forest Film Studio team.

Wait are there Polish versions of these??? I was born in Poland but i hardly ever get to speak it here in the US . Would be nice to learn more of my native tongue.

I love these fungi documentaries. So fascinated by these little guys because they gave me my life back and they continue to shock us. Like the fungi found in Chernobyl feeding on radiation or the plastic decomposing fungi. Fungi created the world and they will save the world!
Yes, fungi are fascinating. And they are essential to the life of the planet.
needed to be more animated
ok, maybe next time. :-)
This is a very nice video, well photographed - I hope the protection areas are effective!
Thank you for watching and very positive feedback.
wonderful video ❤❤ thank you...
Thank you for a 'good word'. Greetings!
I'm blessed to live in a still heavily forested area in north Georgia USA. I offer seed mixes for many birds and have a breeding pair of woodpeckers. The male calls from the tree near the porch for seed, he's gorgeous. I so enjoyed this documentary, I love birds.
It's great that you have such contact with nature. Greetings from Forest Film Studio team.
This vid is absolutely astonishing. All in it is excellent. Thanks for it!
Thank you for watching and such a positive comment.
I want to bring them to Sweden 🇸🇪
Someone from Sweden wrote here somewhere that they breed them there. Greetings!

This is incredibly well done. Thank you. It's informative and beautiful. Makes me want to visit these forests.
So we invite you to our forests. Thank you for watching and positive feedback.
I didn't know moose were referred to as elk in Europe!
Yes, there are differences in many words in the English language used in the United States and Europe. Sometimes in our films we mix it up. :-)
Piękny i bardzo informacyjny dokument 👍👍👍
Dziękujemy! I pozdrawiamy z Polski!
Wonderful film full of interesting creatures. Thank you for sharing the beautiful work.👏
Very nice comment, thank you!
Absolutely incredible
Thank you for such a positive feedback. Greetings from Poland.
Really well made thank you :)
We thank you for watching. A lot of love!
Thank you so much for this beautiful film. It took me back to my younger days in the UK, when nature was not so severely depleted, and you could still easily see yellowhammers and spotted flycatchers and hear cuckoos in the countryside. Since the intensification of agriculture for the production of monocultures like rapeseed, the burning of stubble and sowing of winter wheat which deprived the birds of leftover seeds, the proliferation of sinister herbicides and pesticides, and a shocking policy of digging up our species- rich ancient hedgerows to squeeze every inch out of the fields, our countryside has fallen increasingly silent. Your films encourage me to believe that not all is lost, and there is still hope that nature can revive, given the space and helpful natural management of forests and other wild areas, and the political will to promote these things.
These negative changes in agriculture also reached Poland after many years. Forests, their edges, forest clearings, ponds and rivers flowing through forests, which in our country are almost 80% state-owned, are a refuge for rare and endangered species. We hope that there will not be a permanent silence in our fields, as in the UK.
Wonderful video, thank you again ❤
Thank you and greetings to our favorite viewer. :-)
I love your films they're amazing and interesting
This is a very motivating opinion, thank you!
I often use your videos to learn English. Not only are the visuals attractive, but the dubbing is also excellent. Thank you!😊
We are very glad that you also rate the language version of our videos highly and that they are also useful for your learning. Thank you for sharing this opinion with us. Greetings from Poland!
Sir please use Hindi for our better understanding for us
We'll think about it. Greetings from Poland.
Y’all are liars! I did some research because of a comment on one of your previous videos, and was shocked to find that Poland is one of the WORST when it comes to deforestation. Shame on you guys for not being honest about it.
What you write is not true. We conduct sustainable forest management in our country, which means that we plant more trees than we cut down. Unfortunately, politics and greed also affect state forests in Poland. Recent years have been difficult for our organization in terms of its image, precisely because of politicians' interest in money from the sale of timber. However, our economy is still sustainable, and timber is an ecological and renewable raw material that is also needed by people to function. Greetings from Forest Film Studio team.

Thank you for this very informative presentation. We will now be able to re-view "The life of the forest fungi" - because the sub-titles provide accurately described terminology for further research. Much appreciated that the 'Forest Film Studios' has *not* dumbed-down the narrative. Bookmarked ! - Looking forward to your next on "Bryophytes" - Had to search this word ... Thanks For That too :)
We are always happy to receive such insightful and positive comments. Thank you for leaving it here. We send a lot of positive energy from our forests and greetings from Forest Film Studio team.

What an excellent documentary, with multiple perspectives. Historically humans saw these magnificent creatures as only good for sport (a mental sickness in my humble opinion). But also fascinating to note that the Russians and Germans were willing to protect the precious bison population in WWII, in spite of being on opposing sides. The European bison seems to be an emblem of the best of human attempts to live in harmony with and encourage nature. It was so interesting to understand all that is involved in conservation and protection of this species (including having to cull them sometimes). Also significant are the preventative efforts like keeping a gene or sperm bank in case of natural catastrophe. I again congratulate all those people in Poland who support and share their skills and knowledge in a whole range of disciplines, in order to safeguard the bison and in doing so strive for a balance between natural and human needs that is to the benefit of all.
We are very happy that the history of bisons in our country has ended so well. Now we have a problem that there are quite a lot of them, and they need space to live, which people should share with these animals. It's not that simple. A lot of love to you!
It’s rather sad that people care more for other species than they do for their fellow humans. “Killing for killing sake” is a mental illness.
I love it, what a wonderful production. Thank you so much. I live in a desert but have always been drawn and fascinated by forests, they're enchanting and mesmerizing. 😍🌲🌳🌿🍁🍄
Thank you for watching and the feedback.

I'm stuck in the house during the coronavirus quarantine, and these sounds just bring me back to Michigan summertimes. This is exactly how a forest with a creek sounds during the summer.
