That was a great video. So much cool history. It was really enlightening to learn about JK!
Spot on
As a lifelong vikings fan tossing the GB packers disc was the right move
What a great video!!I am new to the sport and had only heard her name , she is AWESOME!! Really great job on the interview also!!
shout out bowling green KY!
I don't think I learned anything from this.
At 26:39 Drew admits he has feelings. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I Love Juliana, I would be honored to play with Juliana.
Did you make or miss that putt on hole 1?
You keep knocking it out the park Drew. Great interview with an amazing person. With a beautiful backdrop and some awesome throws mixed in. Happy Fourth of July brother 🤙🏼
You're killing it with your practice rounds this year Drew, they've become my favorite ones to watch! I love the casual practice round/interview format that you're doing!
That was a joy to watch, Drew! Thanks!
Wow. Really cool card for round 1. JK, OHN, Missy, and Elie. What an interesting card. I'm pumped. Always a treat to watch JK play, OHN is my favorite, how can you not love Missy, and Elie just has the highest ceiling you could imagine. Elie hasn't done quite as well as I thought she would this year but she actually seems to thrive when in the spotlight and she hasn't been on any feature cards this year as far as I know. I was at throw pink and she just got better the more people were watching and the more cameras. We'll see tomorrow.
great questions
Great video. I really enjoy how you integrate interesting interviews into the practice rounds. It gives me a chance to get to know other players. Keep up the good work, please.
Love this style of interview/practice round.
Drew, I have only played in 2 tournaments so far. But one thing I have noticed is that they do not sweep off the tee pads before an event. Maybe the DGPT does? But I finished a practice round yesterday in preparation for a tournament coming up on the 20th, and noticed that there is always some kind of debris ( pebbles / dirt...leaves / etc ) on the tee pads. I wonder does anyone manufacture a telescoping broom that can be carried in your bag to sweep off the tee pads with???
Hands down some of the best disc golf content out there. I like how you just set the camera up for awhile and let things unfold. As an older person I really appreciate having some of the legends showcased on your channel.
It's crazy how fast drew videos have become my favorite to watch. You're such a good interviewer, keep it up!
"Fuck'n eh!" Lol as a Canadian you made my day
As someone who plays Shady Oaks weekly, I was hoping to hear you and Jim talk about it since you both are from here haha I actually used to play softball with Jim as well! Fun video though getting to hear JK’s stories and experience throughout here time in the sport!
I used to see a new Drew Gibson video pop up and was hit or miss on if I'd take the time to watch it. Since you've been doing these interview videos, I get excited when a new one comes up! Keep up the great work!
I really like what you are doing with your videos and your interview questions. This is a great path you’re on! Please keep it up!
She looks great at her age. She has the skills to win a pro tour event. I really would love to see that happen this year. Having that "killer" competitive instinct helps wins manifest and with her just happy to have a top 10 finish it's just not there in her. Tons of top professional athletes use visualization. If you don't see your self winning and never do then maybe try something different. The mental game at this level is the most important part.
What a delightful video. Thank you, Drew, for being such a good interviewer. And thank you, Juliana, for being such a great ambassador for the sport we love!
Juliana, would you recommend that a young girl start out in disc golf by throwing max-weight discs, or go with some light-weight discs that they can throw farther?
you should throw whatever you are comfortable throwing. I am 61 years old and just started playing 2-3 years ago. I started throwing stuff that was at least 175 gram to 180 gram. Then realized that I can throw lighter stuff a bit farther. I just bought my first 140 gram ( 149 actually) a Innova Halo Leopard 3 fairway driver. I use a latitude 64 River / Maul off the tee mostly. Learn how to throw slower discs. putters + mid-ranges...and go to the practice field and practice...and putting also. I can only throw about 240-250 off the tee, but I am a good putter....being a good putter will really elevate your game if you want to play tournaments especially
@@StuG-pr9tf I wonder if Juliana will read the comments here.
@@deepsender Not sure? she did mention that she has always been an introvert
My first putter was a 4X JK Pro Aviar I bought in 2003, then shortly after, a 4X Valkyrie. Still great discs! Juliana is an absolute legend of the game!🙌🧝🥏🌲
JK is the queen of flying discs. Another great interview round. Thanks you.
JK the GOAT
Love to watch and listen to Juliana! Great job getting her on and letting her talk! Lots of disc golf history there and one of the best human disc manipulators our species has produced!
Really enjoyed hearing the stories from Juliana. And to see that she's still huckin' discs as good as ever. Great video!
Just say you’re a woman drew. It totally works
Fantastic video and interview, JK's positive attitude and grace make her one of the best ambassadors for the sport.
Class 100%
Shout out Todd Branch, best Rhyno putter I've ever seen.
Thank you Mr. Gibson!!!
“World champ” that beat about 6 other women that knew how to throw a disc
Womp. Womp.
Bet she would still kick your ass.
Settle down. Guess you wanna lay down $1k in some match play?
You're THAT guy huh?
@@ilikesnow yeah absolutely I am, that guy that points out mediocrity when I see it…
Heck yes!!!! My hero and some guy named Hugh
Haha! She’s cooler than Hugh.
Let’s gooooo!
They are back!!
@@DrewGibsonso sick to get JK for these, what a sick interview
Why are you always complaining, I never even see you at any of these events?
Weird. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you there either?
I don’t think a lot of people realize how good it is for the game to have unique players and styles. Especially talented athletes like this that have a work ethic and a desire for competition
She so freaking amazing! I value her opinion so much, because she's thoughtful and realizes the world and the disc golf world has gray area!
Trash man
I want that hat and it's not on your sight
I love how Drew tells it like it is, pointing out glaring faults like poor baskets and non manicured grounds need to be a part of the conversation, bravo!
Drew doesn't actually care he just complains about everything he can think of because it gets clicks from today's entitled and whiny society. He isn't even on tour playing these events.
Paul with the classic Mcbeast honest and clear opinions. Great content.
My favorite part of the video was Drew and Paul both knowing “It’s spinal” 😂
Put 5 of each new ones in the ditto thrower. Get some objectivity into this content.
Yeah. I’ll go pull one out of my local goodwill lol
You make such great points. This is the elite level the best of the best. Everything should have a standard. No other sport is like this.
You guys should unionize. Having a collective bargaining agreement will address these issues.
