Jake is one of my favorites on tour! I, a lefty, started disc golf with a bad back hand and workable forehand. since alot of courses are RHBH hyzer holes, i became a "forehand guy". When i saw Jake on tour last year i was blow away with what he could do. He reminds me that i can improve mine every time i watch him! So glad to have a long form video with him and get to know more about him and his game. Thanks for having these Drew!

That was really cool to hear his backstory. It's so crazy that he only started playing in 2020. Drew's right about watching those overhand throws and not having a clue what the flight path will be or where it'll end up. I'm the same way when I see one. That and I don't understand why the disc does what it does when thrown overhand. Great choice for a practice round video partner.

Loved, Loved, Loved watching this! Jake has a lot of potential in the sport! I’m glad that DiscGolf isn’t normally played like this, cuz I would not be able to participate😅, and the flight of a disc is a beautiful thing to watch, and cameras have a hard time following his throw. 😂. I could see Wolff bringing in a ton of baseball players into the sport. I could see him coming out with his own line of discs that cater to the sidearm and overhand throw, with names stemming from baseball to his name Wolff (what an awesome name to have on a disc). I know that that Innova has the (Wolf). All the best for to you Jake, will be following you, would love to see the baseball community get behind you as well as the rest of us. 😜. Disc names possibilities- (The Home Run, Strike Three!, Safe, player on Second, The Outfield! Bottom of the 9th! The Curve Ball, The Knuckle Ball, Peanuts and Cracker Jacks, Hot Dog! Cold Brew) who knows! Welcome to the Sport Jake!

Wow thats really interesting. I started disc golf last summer and also have played baseball my whole life and figured thats why I cant backhand as well as I can forehand or overhand. Can rip forehands really hard and tomahawk close to 90mph because thats how fast i can throw a baseball but ive always gotten a sharp pain when trying to throw backhand hard. My theory is that i just have so much scar tissue built up in my shoulder from pitching over 20 years. Also weird for me to rotate that way same as Jake where a backhand feels like a lefty baseball swing so I can't generate power with my lower body. I can backhand well up to like 250' but if i try to throw harder i just get a sharp pain in my shoulder.
