  If swell is 6.7 but wind is like 5mph with 5mph gusts, would it be safe for kayak fishing at 6.7 swell? If theres almost no wind? Thanks in advance

  Only if the period is long like 13-14 seconds and if one's experienced. 10-12 Second would be very sporty and I would strongly discourage anything less than 10 sec.

  You did great job patching the tube. I am sure you already did it but don't forget to check the tire for the cause of the puncture.

  Yup. Needs more cement so it goes beyond the patch by quite a bit and make sure to sand the tube surface for better adhesion.

  Excellent explanation, super helpful. We rely heavily on the swell forecasts and for years took an over simplistic approach based almost purely on swell height. Then we started to factor in wind. Now we realise that swell period and other factors need to be considered.

  For the coating next time try the mayo and grind up a bag of salt and vinegar potato chips in a food grinder before you leave home instead of the Panko, yum yum! Always enjoy your content Moo!

  I like to use rod with very short butt end, with tennis ball bulb added. I use one with 808 catfish spincast reel (17lb. mono) and one with line counter levelwind reel (25lb. mono). I use 5'6" one-pc. solid heavy glass rods.
