  Vision Pro should've been launch as companion hardware instead of an ipad/macbook on your face. It really should've have just been Apple's version of the Quest 3 where we get microOLED HDR displays at 120hz, great color pass through, and Apple silicon power it in a "light" format similar to the Quest 3. That is kinda what we got but they made it wayyyy too fancy with the outboard display and the extreme weight. Like, I don't want to live my life staring through a headset taking videos and photos. I basically want the best device possible for using "Immersed". The app is really good and it's only going to improve with time. Maybe the Visor will actually come to fruition and be what I'm asking for? Although, I don't think it'll be a 120hz HDR display.

  This makes the vive look way sharper than the 5k. I own a vive and I do not consider it a very sharp or clear display, mainly because of the screen door effect. Its very noticable at times.

  Tracked Fleshlight. You don't have to call it that - just make it a small curved tracker with a velcro strap and let the people use it as they will. Accuracy and low latency will be key. You can demonstrate it attached to a bunch of normal things (like water bottles) to conceal its true purpose. 😂

  I wish they just would make eye tracking on the Q3 and stop wasting my time. Foveated rendering would be a major game changer, but kinda hard to justify if only 3 or 4 headsets have it.

  While it's possible to place 3 pc screens in your room in every size and place you want with virtual desktop (one guy developement). Facebook has problems with little phone apps to be placed in quest bahahaha. Marketing advertising people aren't very good in tech. Bet in the meantime 10000 facebook employees are working on horizon worlds bahahaha facebook stinks and promises but never gives. Vr legs? Splintercell vr? Gta vr? Walk around in home environment(it'snot rocketscience), bluetooth delay. Audio delay while recording. They never should fired the real vr people from the orginale oculus team.

  Yea that not how that works, meta did make it but like they mention it doesn't fulfill the vision they wanted augments to do which is not limited by hardware but with the architecture of the operating system so far. I can also easily make a vr app that can place screens anywhere in unity, but that's now how it works for meta. The home environment is different.

  @@adrianhartanto159 home environment with datamining is hard devolping maybe connect every users action with their data servers bahahaha. Walking around in home environment was possible on oculus go. Bet quest 3 is underpowered by oculus go? Facebook stinks.......that's all.

  Sounds like Meta is actually just postponing Augments, not shutting the idea of doing them down completely. I'm good with that, if it means that when they do come out with them, they're what they (andthose of us who are the users) want them to be.

  To me Elite Dangerous looked better on Pico 4 but much smaller text is readable in Quest 3. So it appears Quest 3 is sharper but also sometimes Pico's text looks better (large text), so idk what is better. Bowth are good for shure.

  Augments are basically 3d widgets like on an android home screen. They are better implementing it like that than making it more difficult for themselves.

  I actually hated and hate both the Quest 2 and 3's Home environments for that reason. Even your ability to move about in the Quest 1 Home areas was (for awhile), better than it was/is in the Quest 2 and 3, and the Rift S areas were highly explorable and chageable. It's just bull to me that we have such a huge Home Area in most every Quest environment--but no option to "explore" within those areas, save for in a relatively tiny area that we have to freaking "jump" to. I know the Quest is supposed to be a "gaming" headset, and you supposedly won't spend much time in your Home environments, but it's like Meta really doesn't want you to interact with other Quest users by giving them a place to come to within your own headset. Unless, that is, they use Horizons.

  Honestly, since Q3 has brought passthrough home environment, I don't use the virtual ones anymore. I prefer to launch apps and browse with a virtual window in my actual reality. I didn't think this would be the case, but I love it so much and can't go back to virtual home environments anymore 😅

  Ok let me correct some thing about augemnts... 1. they are a proven tech as they are used all the time in aerospace and cars, Google glass, AVP and pokemon go and even Quest 3 with the VR mode, the menu bar and safety circle scan... 2. it sounds like they are working but do to the bone headed softwear design of the Quest 3 that honestly should never have been the case... It will be just delayed till they can remake it... Like why all the gloom and doom and click bait?

  I think a killer app for VR would be the ability to do that and then transform your mapped space into a suite over looking the Seine or Tokyo Harbor or Malibu, with any amenity you would like to add (fireplace, theater etc.). To be able to come home from work and relax in a luxury space anywhere you desire would be soooo good.

  I want generic trackers, like air tags, that you can attach to anything and then tell the headset what it is and then adjust is angle to match the position of the tracker. That would be sick. It can be used for body parts or other arbitrary items.

  @@lemovision the way I understand it is that the controllers use their accelerometer + gyro to do most of the heavy lifting, and then use the LED array (and hand tracking) to compensate for drift
